Wow, it really IS super quiet around here! How are you all doing? Is anyone out there? LOL!

We are nearing time again for a Team Lunch - and a Team Walk... what are your busy schedules like after the holiday weekend?! Let me know and I will try to get something set up soon!

Are any of you traveling for the holidays? We are staying local this year and looking forward to a low key weekend with friends and family! We all pitch in with the meal on Thursday - so it's not all on one person. It works out great and since two of the 3 of us are Sparkers - we get to tweak the recipes enough to be able to enjoy the traditional foods without completely blowing the range!

Tomorrow is a run day - I am on Week Four in the C25K program. I hope to run late morning as I first plan to sleep in! (Priorities, I know?) On Thursday, we are hiking the Cowiche Canyon Loop - and Friday will be a run day again... we'll see if I can stay on track!

What's on your plates for this week? Speak up and let us know how you are doing?

I am still playing with the same 3 pounds - back DOWN this week... but a friend gave me a pair of jeans - a size 12 pair of Levi's. I was reluctant to even try them on as I have not lost anything for so long - but I did and I was beyond thrilled to find that they fit great... not tight at all!

Off to do my ST before BL starts!

Karrilee-I'm slowly getting better-not as quickly as I'd like but seemed to be better today. Lungs still hurt-but I suspect it's more allergy related than anything. I'm going to try and run tomorrow to see how it goes. I have not done any exercise since a week Friday-that is such a long time-but I realized I just needed to completely quit until the pain in my leg goes away.
We had a dinner party at our house Friday night-3 other couples plus kids-always a lot of fun but a whirlwind of cleaning etc. Oh well-in laws are coming next week so the big stuff is out of the way. Speaking of painting-everytime I clean my dining room I realize how badly my home's interior needs to be repainted. Maybe before the new year and tax season starts I will be able to get a room or so done.
We'll go to my parents for Thanksgiving and then will be up at Indian John HIll at the rest area giving out free coffee over the weekend (fundraiser for boy scouts). If the inlaws stick around then we will have Thanksgiving at my house but they usually make it a point to miss any holiday with us.

I hope everyone is staying healthy!

Hey there Everyone...

It has gotten quiet around here again!?

Polly - how are you feeling?! Healing up from the bug... how about the soreness? I am much better this week - praying the same for you!

Dori - we missed you at lunch last week - hope all is well!? Let us know!

I know life is just super busy - and that is not even really due to the upcoming holidays?! Yikes?! I used to be one of 'those' people - who was done shopping in August, had everything wrapped and ready to go in October... but somehow I fell out of that habit and I have not even started!? I have plans to work on my Christmas cards next week with a friend... but other than that - I got nothing!? LOL?! We DID just decide NOT to get the puppy for Christmas - which means I think our dd is getting another Room Make-Over! At least I can wrap paint - and we'll have some activities to DO after Christmas (in painting her room and some of her dressers!)

What are all of your Thanksgiving plans?! What do you all do differently now that you are Sparkers!? Anything?! Do you have any Spark-friendly recipes that will help us stay on track!? Do share...

Just wanted to check in! Hope you are all doing great and Sparkin' it up!

It has been pretty busy here lately. My oldest dressed up as a fairy this year (my first year celebrating Halloween with her) and my baby dressed as a ladybug. I went to walmart today and bought their costumes for next year-normally $30 but got them for $7.50. Took them trick-or-treating at the mall (they didn't get any candy because everyone ran out) then to the selah civic center. My parents watched them overnight because Halloween is my hubby's bday. Unfortunately for me, he hates dressing up so I went as myself. But, he did tell me that if I found him a mask of Michael Meyers (Halloween Movie) then he would dress up. Of course, he told me the day of Halloween. So next year we decided he will be Michael Meyers and I will be a sexy victim! Don't know what we will be doing but maybe we will go out to dinner again. We went to go see Paranormal Activity but it was sold out. So we stayed home and watched Paranormal State-tv series. It was nice to spend time alone, but weird too. My ex finally moved to town and now wants to take my oldest as stated in the custody agreement. The funny thing, he moved back almost a month ago and just now wants to take her. He is not a great father. I'd rather not go into that drama right now because it gets pretty hairy and then I get upset. Thank goodness for Curves! I have been doing awesome burning over 500 calories in each 30 minute workout. I figured since the cold months are coming that walking my daughter to/from school with the baby is not a great idea, so I should get a gym membership. Plus my hubby is super happy because I'm actually using it! :)

Well, I hope everyone had a great holiday and hope the team lunch went well. Sorry I couldn't make it, hopefully the next one I will, or at least a team walk. Maybe when things are not so busy for me.

Happy Wednesday Team Yakima! I trust you are enjoying (or at least appreciating) this gorgeous Fall weather we are having this week! It's so pretty this time of year with all the colors!

We had a great Team Lunch today... so glad you all made it! It was nice to catch up a bit in person! We'll plan another one soon - hopefully before the madness of the holidays takes over?! (Or maybe right smack in the midst of that - for that is when we'll really need a break!) If you haven't tried the Kabob House yet... do go! It's super yummy, very affordable, and pretty nutritious too! (It's just TINY... so take-out may be a good idea!)

Spark On - I am off to pick the girls up from school and then head out for a run in this beautiful sunshine!

Had a fun time last nite. Party at our son and daughter-in-law's house w 18 kids and 18 adults. They buried a tote full of candy on their property. The kids had to follow clues to find the "buried treasure". After they found each clue, they had to do a "challenge" before they could go on to the next clue.
Most of the boys were dressed as pirates. Go figure! I went dressed as a grandma ready for bed, complete w p.j.'s, slippers, and teddy bear. I had one of the little ones convinced that I really did sleep w my teddy bear.

Hi,

Well we had more festivities than energy this weekend. Braden my grandson had his first Monster bash at school. He is in kindergarten. So we attended a very crowded school on Friday night and had a great time.

On Halloween we are like Karilee, we get no tricker treaters because we live on a really busy road. So we volunteered to babysit a friend's baby as they attended a party. Karilee knows this couple George and Sylvia and their costumes were great, they went as a Rabbi and Syl had a country type of Jewish costume on. My son and his wife were mobster and flapper. So we had some fun at our place and a peaceful evening watching the latest Ice Age movie!
(really cute)

We are doing some repairs out our place this fall so we have a lot of commotion going on putting in a new front door and repairing a fence. Looks like I will be doing quite a bit of painting also. So I will be burning off some extra calories this fall. It seems like I am burning more calories on the weekend doing repairs than all my strength training and aerobic workouts!

Wow - can you believe that it is November already!? I hate to say it - but that means that the holidays are really right around the corner!

This is our thread to chit chat about anything and everything - so jump right in!

So what did you all do for Halloween!? We never really got too into it all as 'grown ups' - our daughters' bffs' birthday is on Halloween - so she got to dress up for her party when they were smaller... and even up through last year or the year before when she'd help out with the Carnival that our church puts on. But - this year her bffs' party was on Friday night instead, and she didn't volunteer to help out at church so we actually didn't have to/get to worry about costumes this year. She didn't want to dress up for school either... so I got off easy! PLUS - we live on a private road and we're hidden away so we NEVER get ANY trick or treaters! We've never bought any candy since we've lived here - (for 13 years!) We ended up renting a movie (Transformers 2) and having dinner and a movie at home - all cuddling on the couch and relaxing! It was nice...

I worked on some Fall cards yesterday... and dehydrated about 1/2 a box of apples... second round of that today!

Tomorrow I start up my second time going through the C25K training... I am praying for more of the gorgeous Fall weather we've been having all weekend - I'd like to run at least half of it outdoors! Once I finish this round... I will try to move up to the next step - training for a 10K!? Crazy?!

Anyway - jump right in here and let us know what is happening with you all!

Oh - and a quick reminder - Wednesday is our Team Lunch at The Kabob House... stop in if you can make it - we're looking forward to catching up in person!
