The changes on the SPARKPEOPLE board are just a little bit of incentive to track your fitness and nutrition and to participate in the topics on the threads.
It is difficult on these warm...........make that HOT days.............to keep up our exercise and motivation.
Just a gentle reminder. . . . DON'T OVERDO......... and DON'T FORGET...stay hydrated... DRINK YOUR WATER............Even if you are not getting your full quota.. . be sure to include WATER to keep you healthy.
EXERCISE, BIKE, WALK AND WORK OUT SAFELY.................. Eat lightly and drink your water.
I printed out a June calendar and started checking off days I exercise. i am trying to exercise 30 minutes a day by doing 30 Day Shred, Kickboxing DVD, or treadmill. So far I am 14/15 days (today is the 15th day! =))
Yesterday, Heather and I went for a bike ride, then came home and went swimming, and later to the library. We had a great day and good exercise, now....what shall we do today....maybe another bike ride and more swimming:)
TRANS FATS ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' Avoid trans fats as they increase your risk of heart disease. Foods with "partially hydrogenated oil" as an ingredient contain trans fat (even if the label says O grams) and should be left on the grocery shelf..............
This month (in particular) I am going to increase my scrutiny of the ingredients on the labels of some of my favorite foods.

Getting out to walk and talk to your neighbors and friends, let them know you are alive and well in Sacramento. I am walking more this month. Gonna get back on track AGAIN.

As we know, many of our health and weight problems that we face today are related to a lack of physical activity. Although we're "on the run" during the day, we're sedentary as we drive, work, watch TV and use the computer. On top of that, modern technology gives us time-saving shortcuts (dishwashers, car washes, remote controls...) that encourage us to do even less. This month, lets try to increase our activity every day this month!
