I don't now of any. I think that most of those stores have since been bought out or closed down. Hmm if You find any you might post it. In the mean time, maybe somebody will come forward and fill us in.
Morning all! Sorry about being on "silent running" for a while, but have been totally involved with California Native Plant Society activities/events this Spring (see: www.sacvalleycnps.org/) and then getting ready for the Spring Holy Days (Leviticus 23:1-5 ie: Passover, Days of Unleavened Bread, etc.) Plus keeping up w/my Sunday gardening management at the native plant demo-garden in the historic city cemetery.
I've been getting in my exercise and eating pretty good; just not been able (or willing to sit down and log on to SP to track things (MY BAD!)
Hope everyone is having a beautiful spring! I know that I am :-)

Secrets to Losing Weight Wednesday, March 30, 2011 I hadn’t posted anything in quite a while. I decided to do so today. With nice weather approaching, people are interested in working on getting their bodies right and many people have asked me the secrets to losing weight. So, I decided to post something here in hopes that it might inspire people who read it. Here are my top three “Secrets to Losing Weight” which can work for anybody.
The first secret is, find a reason to lose weight, something so strong and powerful that nobody and nothing will stop you or get in your way. The reason can be different for everybody. For some people, a health scare does it. For others, the birth of a niece or a grandchild is the motivation. But find something to get you and keep you on track.
Second, focus on the long term. You’ll need to make complete lifestyle changes, incorporating things into your routine that you can maintain for the rest of your life. There are dozens of programs out there from Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Diet-to-Go, Jillian Michaels, Nutrisystem, and a whole bunch of others. If you can’t stay on it once you reach your target weight, then you’ll probably be right back in the same place in need of losing weight again. I personally prefer sensible eating and making reasonable/prudent food choices over those formal programs. But many people need the structure of these type of formal programs. Either approach is fine. But, whatever you prefer to do, try to work a plan that you know you’ll be able to follow long after you get to where you want to be.
Lastly, find a network/support system. Our friends and family can be great support. But if you’ve tried unsuccessfully to lose weight over the years (and even if you haven't been trying for a long time), friends and family can also be quite discouraging and not very supportive. Don’t let them deter you with negativity. It's YOUR life, not theirs. That’s why I love Sparkpeople.com. It’s a great network of helpful and supportive people who are either right where you are now or have been there already and understand what you’re going through. But more than that, Sparkpeople has a number of helpful online resources, articles, guides, and other tools to keep focused and help motivate you. There is even a Sparkpeople App you can put on your mobile device for even easier access.
These tips are simple but I think an essential part to any weight loss strategy. Good luck and lets get sparking!
