FROM THE SPARK PEOPLE DECEMBER CALENDAR - "Start a new tradition . Focus on FUN activities, not FOOD. Take a walk to see the neighborhood decorations. Sing some holiday carols, see a play or VOLUNTEER to help those in need."
Give back - too often we focus on ourselves, but the holidays provide ample opportunities to give back. Whether you donate your money or your time, DON'T FORGET ABOUT THOSE IN NEED..
Curl up with a cup of tea and watch the rain. It is going to be around for a while so we can get used to it. Don't forget it will soon be winter.
And a reminder - from SP'S DECEMBER CALENDAR Don't shop on an empty stomach. It can lead to overeating on the unhealthy food court fare. Also stash some emergency healthy snacks in your car or purse. Try nuts, whole grain crackers and dried fruits.
I think the key word is busy.....Take time to breathe, think, exercise even if you have to scale down. It's important for me to stay with the nutrition tracker, it helps decide if I really want something to eat or not. I love to listen to music and look at the christmas tree..
MOTIVATION FOR TODAY - FROM SPARK PEOPLE MOTIVATIONAL CALENDAR ----- Good for the holiday season.............

ASPENHUGGER- Sorry that you weren't able to make it to the November meet-up, but there will be others this coming year. You hit it on the head when you said 'Way too Busy & WAY too Much Food" (and I don't keep Christmas, LOL!!!
I missed the meetup too -- just too busy on that day also. Yes, we are now into the annual "Way Too Busy & WAY Too Much Food" season! I like the idea of identifying trouble spots, & planning how to avoid them.

How was the meet up on Tuesday? I wanted to come but had a meeting on the Northwest side of Roseville. It just would not have worked. I hate driving the freeways at night. Sooo busy.
