I am in the same boat with balancing all the macronutrients...usually I am a carb loader...but yesterday I actually didn't even hit the minimum. I hear a lot about problems with not getting enough protein (muscle loss) and fat (cravings), but I have never heard much negativity about not getting the right amount of carbs. I ate a lot of veggies, but no grains. Guess I'll have to cruise the SP articles/message boards for info on trouble stemming from low carb input.

We've got black beans on the family menu for two dinners this week. One is with S&W brand (from Bel Air) canned Caribbean black beans. I add fresh tomato to it, and it's super yummy, then serve with rice and fried plantains. Ohhh, so good.

We'll be leaving the pork out, although we might throw in a little chicken.
I also squeak by on protein a lot of the time. I have a hard time balancing protein and fiber, so when I am in good shape on one, the other tends to lag. I love beans, so I'm trying to incorporate them more, but my body can only handle so many beans, if you know what I mean.
I am packing my bag for the long weekend while I house-sit for a friend again. It's the house with the pool, so I will be getting my first swim of my stay tonight.
Had a great lunch - a chopped salad with chicken and black beans. Protein is the hardest category for me to hit everyday - I usually barely squeak by. As long as I get a cup of black beans every day - I am in the clear. Good thing I like black beans!!

I'm finally almost over my migraine, so I actually got some real work done today. But not much. I'm back home now and trying to figure out what I want to do indoors for cardio that won't make my head hurt. I need to get back on that train...
Hi All, Yanna you kick butt! :) I'm doing good with my cals and yesterday I only did one tae bo dvd but I did finish the trim paint in the office of my house, so I burned well over my goal yesterday (Go ME!!!). Tonight will be another Billy Blanks night. My goal is to finish the trim paint in the last bedroom so I can finally finish setting it up in there. I want that to be my workout room, so it's important to get it going (although I just do it in the living room currently). :) Everyone is doing so well, I'm so proud of all of us!

Hello everyone! I am doing good. Doing my usual stairmaster fat burn workout every night and trying to add in more weights slowly (I still have limited use of my wrist and can't put much weight on it). Great job everyone!

Hi everyone! Munching on my morning snack (banana) here...got up and walked this morning. I just logged my entire day of food yesterday, I think that's the first time I've managed to get the whole day in! I'm trying to be good about tracking, but man, it's time consuming.

Evasome made a great suggestion about doing an organized walk as a SparkTeam event. There is on coming up on Sept. 28th for Autism and is just a short 3 mile walk. When I have more information I will post it up and see what you all think.
I did a 50 minute walk at lunch yesterday and I plan on doing it again. This time I brought sun screen and a hat! I'll definitely bring a bottle of water with me too!
When I got home after work I made a delicious recipe, the in-laws rescheduled. I'm going to post it up later. I can't believe how good it was!
We took the dogs for a much needed walk and I was exhausted. I stayed in all of my ranges and got 66 minutes of exercise! Boy, did it feel good!
I have an orientation today after work (6-8) so I'm going to go to the gym after that for squats and lunges. I'm SO excited about those... Well, not really... I'll be more excited when they're over!
