I agree I think that they are considered a Carb and a veggie. But you have to count them as both and not one or the other. I think that is what I was told

Rice is definitely in the carbs group as are potatoes! At least that's what I was taught during a nutrition class.

i'm not sure about the rice, but i remember reading something when i was pregnant that said that a potato counted as a serving of "other vegetables". so i don't know if you could really count it as part of your daily intake, unless maybe it was just something extra. very good question.

stupid question but are rice and potatos veggies? And if I eat rice or potatos does it count as a serving of veggies???
