Girly, I'm right there with you! I wish so badly that my husband made enough money that I could quit working and stay home and still live the same lifestyle we have now (only less blubbery... lol).

I am fortunate that I get an hour lunch and I'm not afraid to come back and sit at my desk stinkin' like a sweaty pig. I don't care b/c while they're sitting there remaining fat, I'm doing something about my weight and they'll just have to deal with the smell!! lol (I do the high school PE shower where you jump in, rinse off and get out after my workouts, so it's not *real* bad!)

I would LOVE to be home all day so I could get in my runs and not have to worry about coming back to my desk late.

And for the record, I got as close as 4 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight by breastfeeding, but as soon as I quit, I gained 10 of it back... (I managed to only gain 30 lbs this time around), but I have 30 lbs before I reach my pre-first-child weight... and he's 3.

My daughter is 13 weeks old yesterday and I'm still a way away too. Have no fear. We'll reach that point. Hugs.

I'm totally with you. When my son was barely two months old I went to a baby shower for a friend of mine (her son one month old). She looked amazing, had lost ALL her pregnancy weight, and then some. I was SO depressed! Here I am two years later, still 1 lb away from my pre-pregnancy weight (plus have 25 lbs to go yet). I was so sick during for the first 4 months of my pregnancy, and there were other factors that kept me from being active.

It's really hard not to be jealous, but I think we just have to accept that everyone's lives are different and while we're being jealous of someone else, someone could be jealous of us at the same time. Ha ha!

It's good to know that we aren't alone. All we can do is take one day at a time. Now, if I could only take my own advice!

Jealousy is normal. But we have to remember that we are all different and all of our situations are different. Just keep trying your best and focus on you. That's the hard part. Focus on you. Don't compare yourself to anyone. Focus on how exercising and dieting makes you feel and it'll be easier to shed the pounds. Good luck!

Don't be so hard on youself... my daughter just turned one and I'm barely back to my pre-pregnancy weight (which is NOT my goal weight by any means!) I haven't been a stay at home mom for long, only about 4 months now, and it's still really hard for some of us to get to the gym. Ahh... the days before kiddos when we could wake up before work and get our workout in... those days are long gone I guess, at least for me! We can all do it though, and yes, we all get jealous!!

You and I sound so much alike! LOL! I just had my 20 year anniversary with my company and realized I really hate my job! So I have signed up with two different direct sales companies and have decided to do that until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Am I insane? Probably. My hubby and I make the same amount so me quitting my job means our household income will go down by 50%. We are already in debt. I just can't keep coming to a job that I have absolutely no passion for. I want to do something that I LOVE to do. Eventually, I want to do something that helps other women. I'm thinking I want to be a personal trainer / coach. I don't know how I'm going to make money doing that but I'll figure it out as I go. But as for right now, I'm tired of being unhappy and I've finally decided to do something about it! It's a great feeling!

I hate the fact that I get jealous... but I do, so I'll admit it. So much of what you said I already know, it's just not fair.

I want to be a kick-boxer, a zumba instructor, a runner, professional speaker on "How to balance health, husband, work & kids"... and after I do all that, I'll invent the perfect little "make it all better" drug. You'll be happy, healthy, love your job, and never have money troubles again!

Amen sister! I'm right there with you! I'm pretty sure just about everyone on this team agrees with you too!! There is no doubt about it, it's HARD to lose weight when you have a full time job and kids! I remember when I was single thinking "Why do all women seem to gain so much weight after they have kids? I'm not going to let that happen to me." Yeah, right! LOL! I wish I could give you advice on how and when to fit in exercise but, honestly, I'm having a hard time doing it too. However, I have no problem telling you to take it easy on yourself! You just had a baby 15 WEEKS ago! That's nothing! It took your body 9 months to get where it is now, give it at least 9 months to get back to where you were before you got pregnant. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's a fact of life...especially since you have a "real life" and aren't able to hire a trainer to work you out 8 hours a day (wouldn't that be fabulous!?!).

The one piece of advice that I can give you is this...fit exercise in wherever you can! When you have kids, your schedule is always going to be changing as they grow up so it's going to be hard to have a set time when you exercise. Always keep your gym bag with you and be prepared to exercise in "untraditional" ways...maybe on the playground equipment while your kids play or walking around the park with the baby in the stroller.

I don't know if my advice helped but at least know that you are not alone in the way you are feeling! Hang in there and DON'T GIVE UP! You can do it, I know you can!

I'm thinking I'm being pretty much normal here, but can I get someone to back me up?

I have a friend who is a zumba instructor. She looks fantastic... and I envy her. She gained 55 lbs with her now 2 year old. I could do it too, but her situation is different in that she didn't have to work and then decided to make extra money by becoming an instructor for something that she loves doing.

These people who are runners... and are out running a 5k 6 weeks after their baby pops out of there nether regions. (and you know they had to just "pop" out or they wouldn't be back on their feet so soon). Seriously?

I'm trying so hard. I work out during lunch. Try desparately to balance work and family... and soon going back to school. I've been back from maternity leave for 8 weeks, and am now 15 weeks postpartum. I've only lost 8 lbs.

This is just so frustrating! I feel like starting a team for "fat people who have full time jobs and kids and no time" anyone who actually has time to exercise without literally squeezing it into their schedule is not allowed in!

I'm sorry, I'm not really bad mouthing anyone who is lucky enough to be able to stay home. It's just that I envy you... so please don't take offense to my rant! Same goes for anyone who stayed active during pregnancy. Again, it's great that you did that, but I didn't and now I'm paying the price.
