At my daughters day care that is what they do. They take them to sit on the potty every hour. She's been going to the potty there every day 2-4 times a day. She just wasn't wanting to go at home. I've been doing it at home and I FINALLY got her to pee pee a little in the potty yesterday! They told me to take her every hour and make her sit on the potty for about 2 or 3 minutes. The first time I tried that she got mad and wanted down so I started singing the ABC song to her and now when we go in there we sing or look at the fishy's on the shower curtain. I always give her a high 5 and tell her how good she is for sitting on the potty chair. I'm a first time mom too and so I really don't have any advice other than that. Good luck!

Game happened. It is now done. I need to start exercising to get out of the emotional blahs of being finished something that I put a lot of myself into.

(It went well, people really loved it, but I feel beat up).

So- exercise starting tonight while DH is at rehearsal and I am at home with the kid- thinking some wii walking while watching tv and then a zumba (the kid loves dancing along).

We have our first kid and she is almost 23 months- she seems to be interested in the potty, but we have no idea how to go about it. Sit her on it every hour and see what happens? is that how it works?

Good luck ladies! Have fun!

I basically count calories and try to stay under 1600 but that doesn't happen often enough. I try to eat 3-5 servings of fruits and veggies everyday and get 25 grams of fiber. As for exercise I walk on my breaks at work (just started that 2 weeks ago when I first tried to quit smoking) and I walk at home about 3 times a week in the evening. I also have an elliptical that I don't use nearly enough. I haven't been very consistent with anything but I keep trying and I'm getting a little better at being more consistent. Like you, I haven't lost a whole lot of weight very fast. I weighed 214 when I got pregnant, 281 the day I had her, and now that she's 2 I'm finally under my pre-pregnancy weight.

As for my daughter, she is very stubborn. She's going through the terrible twos! She want's to do everything on her own and she throws a fit everytime something doesn't go the way she wants! Sometimes I wonder what happened to my sweet girl. She's still sweet but dang, I can't wait till she outgrows this stage! I love her more than anything else in this world!

Way to go on the weight loss and the not smoking! What are you doing for your program? I admit, I have a very poorly designed program, which would probably explain why I don't seem to lose much weight! But at least the scale is moving in the right direction, even if it is slowly.

As for the potty training, sorry no advice here as my DD is only 10 months. It sounds like she can do it, she just wants to be stubborn at home.

I've never been to Nebraska before. Me and my husband like to travel once a year so maybe we'll make it there one day :)

Way to go on walking on your lunch! And I'm glad you didn't get soaked!

Doing good on not smoking! I just have to remind myself to keep busy. I was thrilled this morning when I stepped on the scale and lost 1.2 lbs this week :)

Anyone have any potty training tips??? My daughter just turned two last week. She's been using the potty at daycare (2 or 3 times a day) for a few weeks now but she will not potty at home. She'll sit on the potty and I take her to sit on it almost every hour like they do at daycare.

I'm from Nebraska. I work for Primacy Relocation, soon to be Cartus Relocation (we were bought out). The weather is pretty sporadic here, but it can get awful hot and humid here too!

I was proud of myself, I got a little walk in at lunchtime today. Made it back to my car JUST in time as it started pouring!

As for smoking, I'm lucky I never got started on it. My Dad smoked when I was little and I remember hating it. My husband also smoked when we first started dating, but he quit for my birthday a year and a half ago :) He decided one day he was done, and never looked back! I was so proud of him. You can do it too Deena!

Thank you! So far I'm doing good on NOT smoking. It's hard in the beginning. I quit for 4-5 months last year and was stupid to think I could smoke here and there. Anyways, this is it! I'm not making that mistake again. And I walk on my breaks at work as well. I'm worried about sticking through it this summer. I live in Arkansas and it gets really hot and humid here.

Went walking last night with Kate in her stroller. Had some problems with the neighbor and their dogs and had to call the police! Hopefully next time we go walking they'll put their dogs up. And on both my breaks today me and a co-worker walked 1.2 miles each time :) And I've eaten pretty good today :)

So where's everyone from?? What do you ladies do (work or SAHM)? I work for the state of Arkansas child support office in human resources.

Welcome Deena! Good luck with quitting smoking and losing the weight :)

Not much to report here today. Just working as usual. I'm hoping to go for a walk at lunch today, but it's ridiculously windy, so we'll see.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi, I'm new to the group. Posted in the Introduction thread yesterday. Hope to get to know you ladies! I have a lot of weight to lose. I'm also in the process of becoming a non-smoker. I work full time and have a 2 year old. I'm trying to get better at being more consistent with eating healthy and working out.

Hi ladies! Welcome Carmen :) Back to work for me today too. I did a lot of walking yesterday. And most of it was while wearing Bella in my Ergo, so that made it even better for me! I spent most of Saturday feeling sick, I must have had a 24 hour bug or something. But I'm feeling better now :)

I have to agree, the time is flyin! I leave for Disneyworld in 19 days now...I can't wait! A vacation is just what I need, and you can bet there will be lots of walking there too!

Hello Everyone!!!

I can't believe we are already into the 2nd week of April! This year has really gone by fast, I hope the summer slows down, I love the warm weather.

I'm feeling pretty good today, extra energetic like. Its so strange, some days I can barely move and then others I'm ready to clean the entire house and feel like running. The medicine I'm taking called terbutaline, actually makes you feel kinda jittery, so maybe that nervous energy is making me feel extra ambitious.

Ashley: I had preterm labor with my last pregnancy too, kinda why I was annoyed that they waited until I really complained about the contractions to give me the terb.

Have a great day everyone

Hi! I'm new to the group :-) This is my first roll call! LOL Sorry to hear your weight is going in the wrong direction - we've all been there before! You're right - tracking and working out are the way to do it!

I had a great weekend, but it flew by. Back to work for me today...

Hello ladies! Seems my Sunday night post of the weekly roll call is the only time I get to check in with you ladies lately. I apologize about that. I really need to spend more time on here because my weight has been going in the wrong direction lately.

Looks like I need to get back to diligently planning meals, tracking calories and working out.

Hope you all had a great week-end!
