My husband is a Petroleum Geologist. Most of the time it is an 8-5 job but occasionally he has to go out into the field on a well site and look at the rocks as they come up to tell the drillers when to stop so they can test, etc. When he does that he is gone a few days to a week or more. Which he is out on one now.

Dh is a high school math teacher during the week and then works as a truck dispatcher in a grocery store distribution center on the weekends. Soon I will be working weekends while dh stays home with the kidlets. The teaching is great because he has 10 weeks off a year and he's home every afternoon!

My husband does construction, mostly drywall finishing. When he's working he usually works about 10-12 hours a day.

My hubby works construction so he is home in the evenings that is of course when he not doing side jobs. But I work 3p-3a 3 nights a week this way our baby doesn't have to go to day care there id only about an hour or two difference and his mom watches her til he gets off

My hubby is in the Navy, so his schedule changes with his job. On the ship, I'd of course go weeks or days without him and hold that role as single mom. That, as every military wife knows, is tough. His previous job was as a recruiter (so he could get me home). We thought he'd be home much more then, but we were wrong. That job included late nights and weekends. When we first got to Japan, he worked crazy shifts for a few months, but now he's just working 8-5!! I love having him home nights and weekend, especially since we now have 3 kids.

My hubby works for Target as a Group Leader at one of their Distribution Centers. He has been working 2pm - 2am for the past 6 months or so but starting on Tuesday he will be working 4am - 4pm. WAHOO!! It will be so nice to see my hubby during the week again (not to mention that he'll be able to pick the kids up from school now and I won't be a faux single mom Tuesday through Saturday)!! YAY!!
