I used to be a runner then gained a lot of weight ( I am still trying to get my body back.) This has been a big problem spot in my life. I get to a point where I am doing good with jogging then something happens in my life to make me go back to start. In Sept I tore my meniscus Oct had surgery really really trying to get back to jogging. Living in Colorado I am kinda held prisoner to the snow at times.

Im a wanna-be runner. I just feel like I know myself well enough to know that I wouldnt run in winter. And once I got "in shape" enough to enjoy running, the "season" wouyld be over and I'd have to start all over again the next year. I had started running when I had a gym membership, but I dont have one anymore.

I love the way I feel after a run. I love the way I feel during a run! I should say a jog though, I don't jog much faster than I walk. I haven't made it to a mile yet either, but I'm progressing.

I know this thread has been quiet so I will get it started again. Last summer my hub moved to CO with us joining him 40 days later. So he didn't see me for 40 days. So I started walking to the track in town and for the first time in my LIFE ran 1 mile then ran 1 1/4 miles. It felt so good! I also ran the bleachers when the teams were on the track. Now I am in CO where we have been doing alot of hiking and my goal is to hike a 14,000 mountain for my 40th this year.

I had a playful summer - not lazy just no organized exercise - so those coupe weeks off that I mentioned earlier turned into a couple of months. I thought that sending the boys back to school would make it easier to get back into the grove but it hasn't - I've got to get out moving again too.

I'm a wanna-be runner! I've worked out in the past, but the last couple of months haven't been ... so I'm starting Monday morning with walking. I need to get my heart rate monitor and my pedometer out!

I have been a runner, but I am not in running shape at the moment. I took a year off, I know terrible idea, and now that I am trying to get back to it I am experiencing lots of minor injuries. I will get there though.

I am a wanna-be runner. I just started the SP rookie running program. I tried to increase my running gradually when I first started SP but the seasons changed and made it pretty hard to keep training with 3 little guys. My youngest son starts kindergarten this year so I'll be able to train longer into the foul weather seasons without feeling guilty about keeping my children out in it.
