Along the same lines, I currently subscribe to the Motion Traxx and FitMusic podcasts. I find that most of the Motion Traxx podcasts are appropriate for runners, since they're usually an hour long and have specific BPMs - not to mention their interval mixes, as well. (Jeff Galloway recently did an interval-mix podcast with them, which really helped me get started on running again.)

A warning, though: If you don't enjoy club music or techno, Motion Traxx might not be for you. But if you do enjoy this kind of music, you might want to try out the Tiesto podcast too. Hope this helps!

I recently found the Podrunner podcast through iTunes. It's techno music, mostly, and it's all set at a specific BPM, which is great for pacing (slow running day or fast running day.) Every episode is 55 minutes and there are years of them in the archive. An absolute goldmine!

I find it perfect for spinning as well.

I have to have just the right songs to run to. I am musically motivated and so when I run, I listen to music that really gets me going. I normally don't listen to country music (although I do love it outside of the gym), but my playlist usually contains a wide variety of artists and genres. Here are some songs I often listen to while on the treadmill:

Deceptacon by Le Tigre
A-Punk by Vampire Weekend
Hey Ya! by Outkast
Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas
Ray of Light by Madonna
You Dropped a Bomb on Me by The Gap Band
Learn To Fly by Foo Fighters
Play Your Part (Pt. 1) by Girl Talk
Stronger by Kanye West

I also like any of the Power Music albums from iTunes.

Black Eye Peas has a good album. I also like Fine by Mary J. Blige and The Weekend by DJ Michael Gray (house music).

Have you ever tried www.motiontraxx.com? They have great podcasts that are geared towards running, run/walk and interval training. The best part is that the podcasts are free.

David Bowie - Rebel Rebel (jogging)
Girls Aloud -- Something Kinda Ooh
Belly -- Dusted
AC/DC -- Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Also almost anything by VAST once you get past the slightly slow openings, the body of most songs is beat heavy and catchy all at once.

I have a 5K coming up and I need help!

I've been struggling with finding fast running music. I'm having a tough time finding songs that have a fast tempo.

Do you guys have suggestions? I like poppy, happy music. No metal.

Here's a taste of my recommendations:
Zero - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Single Ladies - Beyonce
Satisfaction - Benny Benassi
Heads Will Roll - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Goodnight, Goodnight - Hot Hot Heat
My My Metrocard - Le Tigre
Hot N Cold - Katy Perry
Here it Goes Again - OKGO
Jesus Walks - Kanye West

Anymore suggestions would be much appreciated! emoticon
