I have 2 songs I sometimes workout to. I can't believe I'm admitting them but.

1. Stronger - Britney Spears
2. Fighter - Christina Aguilera

other than that I normally workout to 'clubbing' techno upbeat songs.

Cheesy workout song of the week: "Satisfied" by Richard Marx.

...Actually, I like the song. It's Richard Marx (and his terrible hair during this time) that qualifies it as cheesy.

On second thought, maybe I should post this in the "Motivational Songs" thread.

My apologies for following up my last post with yet another post, but I just needed to share this link to what one of my brother's friends calls "the Best. Video. EVER." - and ergo, NSFW, unless your company is pretty liberal about this sort of thing:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_fCqg92qks

...Yes, "Call on Me" by Eric Prydz, which wouldn't even count as cheesy if it wasn't for the scandalous choreography for the video.

The only thing funnier than this is to do a YouTube search for "call on me parody," which will yield a treasure trove of guys in tiny shorts doing pulsing hip thrusts. Heeee.

"Electric Youth" by Debbie Gibson.

Super cheesy but it gets me moving for sure.

I never thought I'd find a song more shameful than "Thong Song"... but apparently I forgot about these gems from sixth grade:

Poison, "Unskinny Bop" (GAH, the video for that one was terrible, too! Sorry, Bret.)

Warrant, "Cherry Pie" (yep, it didn't take me too long to figure out that the lyrics were cheesy AND sexist... no wonder I was totally into grunge by freshman year!)

I'm not even going to mention Bon Jovi here, because I totally *heart* Bon Jovi to bits.

Also, I actually forgot that I have a copy of "Electric Boogie" in my iPod. That's because I can't see it - IT'S ELECTRIC!

If you think of it as David Bowie and Queen, the answer is likely to be "no." (I'm biased because I'm a fan of them both.) But if you think of it as Vanilla Ice stealing a bassline from Queen... and if said bassline is followed by said Vanilla Ice saying "Yo, VIP, let's kick it"... then HECK YEAH it's definitely Velveeta of the highest order.

Speaking of Velveeta: "Thong Song," anyone? Just typing the phrase "Thong Song" fills me with shame.

I just remembered another one, since I just heard it on the radio this weekend:

"Lambada," by Kaoma.

(Anyone who's familiar with "Lambada: The Forbidden Dance" will know exactly what I mean. Hee.)

Also, because I can't help it either: Engelbert Humperdinck's version of "Quando Quando Quando."

Finally... a thread that I can get with!

I have no shame in admitting that I work out to "What Is Love" by Haddaway. I don't care what people say; that song is a CLASSIC. Same goes for "Sex Bomb" by Tom Jones, "One Minute Man" by Missy Elliott, and anything by Duran Duran.

However, the last aerobics class that I attended had an endless loop of Aqua ("Barbie Girl" and "Cartoon Heroes," anyone?) followed by the theme song to Tamagochi. Eeeeeeek.

That said, these are the cheesetastic songs that might - no, WILL - end up on my playlist:

Sheena Easton, "Strut"
Gerardo, "Rico Suave"
Miley Cyrus, "Party in the USA"
David Archuleta, "Touch My Hand"
The Weather Girls, "It's Raining Men"
The Wonder Girls, "Nobody"
MC Hammer, "Pumps and a Bump"
2 Unlimited, "Twilight Zone"
Rick Astley, "Together Forever"
Britney Spears, "Gimme More"
Lindsay Lohan, "Confessions of a Broken Heart" (true story: this was playing at 24 Hour Fitness while I was on the treadmill... I think I beat my power-walking time on this one *lulz*)

I should be embarrassed... but, oh, HELL no, I'm not.

I pretty much love all Michael Jackson songs...no shame in that! Some of the more embarassing songs on my mp3 player are Milli Vanilli, and I do admit to enjoying an Aqua song or two...Barbie Girl!

I also like to listen to the soundtracks from musicals while I run, and I know lots of people would probably consider that to be pretty cheesy. I love the songs from Spring Awakening, Mamma Mia!, and Chicago.

I was pretty shocked when I saw Vanilla Ice had the greatest hits album, which is one of the reasons I bought it (and it was onsale for $5.00). The only songs I know are Ice Ice Baby and Ninja Rap. Good stuff.

I have a new favorite, that is kind of cheesy in a "go get 'em, Tiger!" kind of way... it's from the 80's movie St. Elmo's Fire - anyone remember the song "Man In Motion"?? Great for jogging.

My friend recently gave me a bit of grief over a couple of cheesy songs that I have on my workout playlist on my mp3 player. So, what goofy or cheesy songs do you have on your playlist?

Mine are "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens, "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield, "The Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Joy to the World by Three Dog Night.

I asked this question on another team page and got several good songs to add to my mp3 player.
