Shirley, you probably accidently hit the reset button. I do that sometime when I'm leaning into the sink or getting clothes out of the washer. For that day you have to guestimate unless you saw what it was before the reset. I hate for that to happen when I've reached two or three thousand steps. I just add in the last number of steps I saw.

I don't know what happened. I had my usual 30 minute walk and an hour at the gym, but my pedometer only registered 670 steps, or .41 miles. I know I walked more than that. emoticon

I thought when I started this, that I could add my steps each day, but I find that I can edit my message only once. so I'm starting over again with my steps for the week and will add Monday's steps tomorrow night.
I started out with a bang on Tuesday, but couldn't do that much the rest of the week. Today was church , then a wedding, sat all the time, and a birthday party in the evening. I missed my walk today and cake two times in one day. Boy did I get off track. Anyway...

Good Challenge, Marcie..........My first day's reading on my new pedometer was 4887...WOW...I had no idea I "stepped" that many times...

Did any of you read yesterday's SparkPeople "once you meet goal" article on MAINTAINING YOUR WEIGHT, I thought it so interesting that I put it in 'favorites.' It's seems you must be even MORE commited than when 'trying' to lose weight. Sometimes I feel that "I" should be committed...ha.

I usually take my mother to quilting on Wed. but she was tired today and didn't want to go, so I had a 45 minute walk this morning. If I go to Silver Sneakers today and take my usual evening walk I may register a lot of steps today again.

I had one that talked last year and it was so annoying. I got one that doesn't now and like it metter. It records miles or steps, and can change mode so I can check the mileage whenever AI want, but keep the steps for the challenge.

Good morning, Shirley and Marcie. Well, I did go to Target yesterday and purchase a pedometer (what a decision...I didn't know there were so many different types....I sure didn't want the one that TALKED...Ha)...... I put it on for the afternoon and to get a feel for how it worked, so I'm ready to go today....let you know later how I did...

Congratulations Shirley! That is a lot of steps for one day. You might want to take a virtual walk and learn about the area you decide to walk in. AARP sponsors at least four virtual walks. I am doing the Alaska Militart Highway now. The link is:
aarp.stepuptobetterhealth.com
You do not have to belong to aarp to take part.

May 1. I surprised myself. Today I walked 13483 steps. I won't do that again this week. Today is the day I walk in the morning and evening and have my Silver Sneakes class, so I do more than most days.

I use a pedometer every day. So yes, I'm with you. My silver sneakers instructor thinks 5000 steps is great for anyone over 65. However I try to get more than that.

Good morning.......I'm up to the pedometer challenge, but, unfortunately, I do not yet have a pedometer. Perhaps I'll look for one at Target today. I think it's a great idea.....

Tomorrow starts a new month. How about challenging ourselves to walk and record the steps
on a pedometer.
Shirley
Tuesday, May 1
Wore my pedometer for my usual morning walk. I usually have it in the mile mode. I switched it to steps and was surprised to see that I had walked over 3000 steps. I think I'll set my goal at 10,000 steps per day.
