I'm back !!!!!! & I am sorry to say I am also back to the weight I was when I started Sparks in Auguest 2013. I have been away for a long while.(due to health problems). But as Dad use to say" that's why pencils have erases., so you can start over" So here I am Starting Over !!!!.
I hear you. I am 76 and have arthritis pain 24/7. In the last year, I have managed to loose ten pounds. Supposedly every pound lost is a help to the knee joints. I have found chair exercises to be helpful. You can do them at home, a few at a time and they do work. You can control the intensity and the duration. I started with 3 reps of each exercise and worked up to two sets of 12. Type in "chair exercises" in the search box at the top of the Spark people page and click on search. You will find many choices.
Here I am at 67 trying to get started again. I now have COPD, Diabetes bad hips and in pain 24-7.I still weigh 213 . My problem is getting to exercise. I work everyday and exhausted when I come home.I can't do allot with getting out of breath.
