I have a similar cycle as you. I try and drink tea and extra water in the afternoon and have a sensible snack before dinner so I don't eat so much
I also try and track my evening meal before I sit down to eat that way I know exactly how much I am going over what I tracked. Also a good idea is to have some extra protein (track it though) and take a walk or exercise in your chair while watching TV. Hope this helps. Happy Easter to ALL !!! Carole

What works for me is to make healthy snacks in clear wrapped packages in the front of the fridg. If I feel the need for a snack I see them first and remind myself that my health comes first.
I do snack, but now it is on carrot sticks, celery, or if I have a sweet tooth, I keep apple slices or orange segments, (A little lemon juice on the apple slices keeps them looking great) I have also tried a few spears of asparagus with a thin slice of lemon.
With determination and imagination those snakes can become healthy inspirations.

Welcome Aboard. I sometimes have the same problem. It might help to bag up pieces of fruit or raw veggies that you can easily grab in your weak moments. I know just reading the Spark People posts and the educational items I read every day here has really helped me to think about what I put in my mouth and to make better choices. I am 75 years young and very active. I do exercise 2 to 3 times each week . I do pool arobics and pool weights. I was doing the Nuti-system and was getting tired of the food and wanted to try to loose the balance weigh on my own. However, I do ned support.I just cannot seem to get back on track.I start with a good breakfast and a decent lunch but then in the afternoon I begin picking. What can I do to get myself back in control. DeeIan
