Hang in there a little longer. During my recent trip to NJ, I found cool shoes (new, but have a 50's flair with subtle bow), a cozy wrap/shawl in gray tones, an amber jeweled necklace (VERY vintage), vintage cream gloves, Saks, still with tag) I may or may not wear them), and a plastic arm bracelet, swirly, half amber, half cream.
I can't wait to put this ensemble together!
Oh yes, I do have a vintage purse, hard plastic, creamy toned.
ha ha! I'm going to a wedding at the end of the year...the reception will be a 50s's cocktail party. I went to my fave, inexpensive vintage store, and found a lovely dress, velvet dark teal blue, with a skirt with taffeta.
Judging by the label, it was made in the late 70's/early 80's, but it is definitely a 50's style. Even more interesting, it's made in Canada. It's costing more to have the dress dry-cleaned than what I paid for it...but very worth it!
