I have been training for this half for the past 3 months and I just wasn't feeling right then an asthma attack at docs office. so they ordered tests out the wahzoo . 2 years ago they found 3 blockages that are less then 50% blocked so they wanted to make sure and found this . is this why I'm not feeling right do not know yet.

I have a slight thickening but it doesn't interfere with my life. I think how it effects you depends on how severe it is. You didn't say why the doctor did an echo cardiogram. Were you having systems? If you were, I'd certainly see the doctor before the marathon, but even if not, it's a good idea.
There's a good article about it here, but I'll warn you it's a bit scary.
