my mother used to give us cod liver oil by the spoonful when we were kids - I actually loved the taste of it but what did I know then, lol. In school, we were given little tiny gel capsules of it to take - some of the kids used to squish them down the blackboards. I have to take a lot of supplements because although I eat a lot of the foods that contain the vitamins and minerals we need, I lose a lot of them because I have Crohn's Disease as well as the Heart conditions and Type II Diabetes..
I take B12 shots monthly and daily, I take B6 100 and B50 complex Vit. A and D 10,000 and 2 x 1,000 Calcium 3 x 500 Coenzyme Q10 100 Magnesium Cranberry 500 Glucosimine with Chondroitin 500 and 400 a women's multi vitamin for over 50 a multi vitamin for the eyes - Vitalux Lutein 20 mg Acidophilus with bifidus 6 billion and just started a Silica one tonight because my nails are a mess from kidney problems.

Codliver oil comes in capsules, more expensive but tastes neutral. Flaxseed oil goes rancid very quick at room temp. I'd do without it or at least buy whole flaxseed, keep it in the fridge, grind in coffee mill fresh and use it as breakfast cereal with yogurt and fruit. Another way to get the same benefits as from codliver oil is to get all your animal products from pasture-raised animals (dairy, milk, eggs). They cost more but taste so much better than the grocery store stuff and definitely better than cod liver oil. Birgit

Hi, I have heard that Cod, Liver Oil and Flaxseed Oil are good supplements to take for healthy heart because of the Omega 3 in them. This is what I am taking and would like to know if there is anything wrong with it.
Vitamin B-12 One a day women's vitamin -has 1,000 of vitamin D Cod Liver Oil - 2 capsules - has 1,200 of Vitamin A Flaxseed Oil - 1 capsule - Omega 3 stuff
Just curious if anyone else takes these things and how much.
