Lost another pound; down to 197.2. I weigh myself in the morning before I do anything else. Had a strong workout again and then walked the dogs. Still optimistic about goals and am enjoying the pounds come off. I may have to buy some new shirts though 'cause the XL is beginning to hang on me. What a problem to have!
I had a CABG in Oct '98 and have been following a heart healthy diet more or less ever since. Counting myself among the fortunate because I have had great care along the way, very good lab results, and good stress tests. However, over the last 3-4 years I let my weight get away from me and have now resolved to get back to my target weight of 185 from 215. Just broke to 198.8 pounds so I remain optimistic. Checking in every day on Spark is a great way to keep on track, to stay focused, and to realize that every day I can get up and walk the dogs is a blessed day.
I also follow the Heart Healthy Diet here on SparkPeople faithfully. Its been working since I logged back on Sept 7. I have lost an additional 13 LBs. That's a total of 35 in just a few months. I check my nutrition feedback nightly.

I would be interested in learning more about a few personalized plan to protect my heart. I had acute congestive heart failure last October and then an Angiogram 2months ago and a minor surgery in June to put a Defibulator in my heart because of permanent heart damage, I am recovering well from that but sprained my left ankle and right knee in a fall about two weeks ago, so am grounded once again.
