I am feeling better today, and I think she listened. Hopefully it is something that I am recovering from, and just a bump in the road. They have made cuts in my med dosage before, so I know it is not just refusing to do so. I just want to feel good now that I have lost all this weight.

Maybe I will have times I feel bad, and its just part of dealing with CHF...? This is sort of like the first time I had a low blood sugar. I just didn't know it could happen. Normally when I feel bad, I caused it. Doing everything right, and still feeling bad is worse. I have nothing to correct.

Good news is, I am feeling better since last night. She told me to come back, or go to E.R. if I have more problems. When I called, they got me in for a doctor visit in 19 hours, so I like them, and they have done good by me so far.

We'll see what happens, which is easier now that I am not having trouble breathing..lol

Sometimes doctors really just DON'T listen. I had to have some of my meds changed due to terrible shortness of breath. There were 2 medications that were working against each other.
I sure hope you get feeling better soon!

They pretty much echoed what I thought the past week. I was not very short of breath today, and they did X-rays to check for fluid in the lungs. They said I could have had too much sodium, or had some bug. Pulse-Ox was 95%, and BP was 104/68. They dismissed cutting the meds, and told me to keep an eye on it. Sometimes I will just feel out of breath with CHF. That sucks. I feel better today. They did say that it may be the chicken soaked in salt solution, but I was still below 2000 mg a day. I went and bought new chicken just in case though.

My doc did say that it might be a bug, and as I continue on, the symptoms should disappear. Of course if it gets worse, go to E.R.

Except for some peace of mind, and the congratulations they gave me for losing more weight, it was almost useless.Basically they think I had some fluid in the lungs last week. Hopefully they are right, and it is gone now, whatever caused it.

Good luck to you! It sounds to me like that's the WRONG med for you!

When my mother was in hospital (after 3rd heart attack, they were trying to stabilize her for quadruple by-pass), they had issues that sound like that (except she was flat on her back...) with several of the meds. It's interesting how BADLY some affect people, even though they're meant to help.

I'm thinking of you!

Interesting, I wonder what meds you are taking and if the meds causes a drop in blood pressure or drop in blood sugar???

I figured out a few things about my shortness of breath. I'm pretty sure it isn't A-fib. I have eaten low sodium the last week, yesterday 667 mg. I drank less water, and more water, and been outside in the cold. None of these seem to make a difference in why I am short of breath.

Yesterday I overslept, and took pills at 2 p.m( morning pills ). I felt great, UNTIL I took my pills. Then I was short of breath for 3 hours. Not a lot, but a little shortness of breath is disconcerting. So around 4, I scheduled a doctor's visit for 9:30 a.m. today. I went to a community meeting at 5 p.m., and once I started speaking on a few issues ( raising my BP ), my breathlessness went away. The meeting lasted till 11 p.m. I ate dinner at midnight, and took my night pills. I watched Biggest Loser, and went to bed around 1 a.m. I had a little breathlessness after taking the pills, but it went away. I slept till 6 a.m. and having some eggs and applesauce for breakfast. My meals are basically the same as always too, so no changes.

It seems that the only constant is that I get short of breath after taking my pills, and when I start to do physical activity, it goes away. Hopefully my doctor can figure it out, or I may have to check in for a tune-up at E.R. I feel great right now though. Normally when I feel bad, it is constant. I even walked 90 minutes yesterday.
