After two weeks of mindless eating, I started eating with awareness again yesterday.
1/23 - four mindful meals eaten. I do better when I get at least 5 freggies during the day
1/24 - one mindful meal eaten so far

manderin orange sample was verry un planed, apple ceder sample was good. Tiney bit of bread and a slice of chees. Samples at the grocery good healthy snacks.

Paid attention to what I ate and how good it tasted today.

I have "The Spark", "SparkPeople Cookbook" and "Spark Solutions"

I set my ticker to my highest weight of 210 lbs because it gets upset and doesn't want to save when I gain weight instead of lose.
on Dec 30, 2012 I joined SparkPeople and weighed 195.8

Eating mindfully is a lot harder then I thought. I always forget to pay attention when I eat. I am usually on SparkPeople when I eat and pay more attention to SparkPeople then to the food I eat. I need to eat then turn on the computer and/or TV.


I ate a healthy breakfast. Breakfast is Simple Truth Honey Almond Flax cereal 3/4 Cup serving with 2% Milk 1/2 Cup and Del Monte Mandarin Oranges no sugar added small cup.
The cereal has 11 g Dietary fiber and 10 g of Protein
I did not like the taste of the cereal like I thought I would. I did get full without over doing it.

For Lunch plan to have salad and beans. Not sure what I will have for supper maybe baked chicken and salad.

I will try to remember to eat mindfully at the other meals.

Exercise with be 2 exercise videos - one for cardio and one for strength.

I took my friend to the New Seasons because they had fresh ground almond butter for $ 6.99 Lb . That is January's treat. She bought me a salad and got her self one. But it is Tuesday and I am a Vet so 10 percent off.

Late start this year. I'm more mindful with my eating habits.
I see beans on just about every meal; so I purchased canned beans and I will rinse them before eating them and Lentiles are so gasy I must let them go. Should I have soaked and rinsed them before cooking?

The dairy is not hard, cottage cheese, yogurt etc. Eggs have omega3's whole egg or 1 egg and 1 egg white.

Did well at breakfast and lunch time. Overate a tad at dinner but I know I would have eaten much more had I not been mindful of what I was doing.

Last night had homemade chicken (breast and turkey leftovers) noodle soup. My son made it and it was very good. Helped us feel even better now that we are getting over a cold.

I'm having breakfast for dinner, full-fat yogurt with berries and nuts. Yum!

That's a great point!

My breakfast was about as mindful as it could be (leaning over the stove, oats and chia seeds). My lunch was semi-mindful as I tried to 'converse' rather than work at computer and shovel in, as usual!

I had 2 snacks that were NOT mindful...Tonight, I'll work harder to be mindful when having supper.
