Hi Kim...............I'm sorry you're still having problems with irregular heart beat. I had a test done, wore an event monitor for 30 days and was told I need an ablation because my heart would race from 60 to 200 in seconds and I could feel it. They told me as long as I could stand the racing, I should be ok. I have not had it done yet and going to see how it goes in the next month or so. Thanks for the info. Good Luck michael
Has anyone had the above? I had it done 10 days ago to treat my SVT - which I had three episodes where my heart would speed up to over 200 beats per minute and I would have to go to the ER to be given an IV and drug that would return it to normal. Since the SVT, my heart feels likes its bouncing around in my chest. They told me it would be irregular for 2 weeks but it doesn't seem to be getting much better. I have an app on my phone that measures my heart rate and it will bounce around from 70 to 90 and sometimes up to 100 in the time it is taking the measurement.
Has anyone had a catheter ablation and the symptoms afterwards? I've read online it can take months for it to calm down but I don't always trust what I read online. I'm giving it the full 2 weeks before I start hounding the doctor! Any info from you all would be appreciated.
