We stopped eating at fast food places about 1 1/2 years ago. Thought it would be a problem, but started making healthier burgers and baked fries and so now, when the kids or grand kids bring home burgers and fries for us, we just can't eat them. They seem so greasy!! Keep on reading all the info on SP and you will learn lots of alternatives.

Here's a little something I did before I gave up the burger and fries altogether: I cut back to once a week. Happy meals (they are actually Right Size meals). Then special occasions only. Then one day I discovered they really taste like the inside of a garbage can. It seems that my taste buds, having been treated to better, demanded better.

I am a stay at home mom with a family history of heart problems. Now I am knocking on the big 50. and I am seeing small changes in my blood levels. Most things are higher than they should be. so I am now taking a good look at what I need to do. My husband is a Cardiac Counselor so I know what heart disease can do to a person not only from him but watching my family struggle. So from time to time I will be here checking to see what new things I can learn from all of you. I am a french fry, Cheeseburger junk so I know I must give this up but I have tried in the past and the cravings cave me. I will work hard to break this cycle.
