The less food that is in front of you, the less you will eat. The more food that is in front of you, the more you will eat--regardless of your hunger level. Instead of using a regular dinner plate, which can range from 10-14 inches wide, serve your food on a salad plate, which ranges from about 7-9 inches wide. The smaller plate will make your portion size look larger and more satisfying than it would look served on a larger plate.
