did you sleep well last night? no. but i'm working on making it better. i have severe depression and that affects a lot of other daily functioning: interferes with sleep cycle, increases or decreases appetite, decreased energy, decreased concentration, low or sad mood, tearfulness, and on and on. i'm trying to encourage better sleep by establishing some routine activities at bedtime. a soothing activity before going to bed (warm bath, reading, watching some non-stimulating program on tv, listening to relaxing music). i'm also spraying the bedroom with lavender (it's supposed to be sleep inducing/promoting). but so far, no luck. thanks for asking-it made me think more about it.
