I'm pretty sure your MD needs to sign the disability forms. You might want to check. They could be held up in his office.
This could be an opportunity to learn a craft or hobby that you haven't had time for.
For exercise, it seems like leisurely walking is a safe bet but not weights.

I did lose 2 lbs in 2 weeks so I guess that's good even if it wasn't aerobic.I hope it continues. I'm giving myself a year to lose 50 lbs.

No, I have applied for SS Disability, on my own, but just recently, and I haven't heard anything yet.

I was lifting 100-150 lbs at a time all day long. I can't hardly lift 15 now. I'm on cardizem and Diltiazem to try to correct the rythm, No more has been said about the valve for now.I started these meds in april, I go back to him in Oct.Also he does'nt want my heart rate to go above 130 bpm.

I'm not sure how heavy duty plumbing is but he probably also told you no more heavy lifting? that's probably the issue. Is your valve going to be repaired? How about the Afib- will it be corrected with a special test? He's probably worried that the A fib will become a more dangerous rhythm. That's my guess- I'm a nurse.

I have A-fib and unstable angina and an enlarged heart with a bad valve. My cardiologist says no more work for me.Does that sound right ? I know being a plumber is very physical ,but has anyone else been told no more work?
