AMANDALU3: Did you enjoy the 5k on Sat? There was quite a turnout! I worked the Read, Right, and Run kids race, so I saw the 5k runners starting and finishing. It looked fun!

try checking www.stlouisrunnersclub.com

as well as the weekly 'Get Out' section in Friday's newspaper...not sure where else to look for long-range planning, though, but sure there'll be plenty of running, hiking, biking/walking/fitness stuff from here through late fall again

Awesome! I've heard the hills in the 5k are challenging!

My hubby and I are signed up for the 1/2. We'll be the ones wearing "Team Lupie" shirts (they say "CURE LUPUS" on the back). emoticon

April 10th in the Go! St Louis 5k. This a weekend of events from everything from a children's fun run to a 5k to a half marathon to a marathon. In order to do the 5k you just show up the day of (no pre-registration is accepted). It should be a good time! I definitely plan to be there and actually it could be a fun one to do as a team since it is a celebration of St Louis health! Here is the website about the 5k... hope to see some of ya out there!

You can go to active.com and put in the area. The few I know of March 6th is celebrate fitness at wash u and the money goes to breast cancers, April there is a Spring wellness fair in St. Charles and there is the Castlewood cup 2/27 which has a trail run, August 21 is the Trive run. That should get you started.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Hi Fellow Sparkies!

Does anyone know of any fitness events coming up in the next several months? I know the Health Planet's Heath fair is this weekend which sounds great. I'm looking for any physical activities - like biking, walking or running (gulp!) events. Anyone have a site with good info or have anything to share? Getting bored of going to the gym. I'm hoping an event would "spark" me to work harder in anticipation of an event. Thanks!
