My favorite hike would have to be in New Mexico, I hiked Wheeler mountain arrived at the top right when the sun was rising. A group of us hiked all night to get to the top only 4 out of the 7 made it to the top. My second would have to be in Colorado, there is a great town called Buena Vista, so beautiful there is so many trails there. This town was so awesome because it was so small population wise yet so large because of all of the Outdoors activities that are available. They had Jeeps for rent, Kayaks, and river rafting, bikes and so much more. We had my 4 wheel drive Jimmy at the time and hiked forever until we relized we were headed in the wrong direction we were supposed to be at the bottom of the hill but instead we made it to the top of the not a hill yet not a mountain but steep enough to make me stop every few steps. Around my home town there are a few great nature parks that I walk through. What a great question. Brings back some good memories. -Diane
This is a really good question. It has made me stop to think about all the places that I have hiked. I would have to say I love to hike anywhere around the Buffalo River in Arkansas. I also like the hike to the top of Longs Peak in Colorado.
Considering I have one year old twins, I am lucky to get out of the house and hike up the street!! LOL!!
I just joined the group and am trying to get into backpacking. I live pretty close to the A.T. and have done several day hikes on that trail. Also the Len Foote Hike Inn trail is one I've done, although I did not make it to the inn due to time constraints.
