We are cutting out the take out, eating healthier and moving more at my house. Everyone is weighing in on Sundays. Although we are not on a diet, but looking too make ourselves healthier, we are tracking each person's weight.

I have set goals for my household as well. I told them we were not going on a diet but we were changing the way we ate. Today was day 1 of all changes and so far all kids have been cooperative. They haven't complained about being hungry and have liked everything I've fixed so far.

I have decided that I need to make 2013 my "lucky" year. The main thing I'm going to commit to is staying within my calorie range more. I would like to commit to exercising more, but I'm finding it difficult with the job I'm currently working.
Has anyone set goals for 2013? I have spent what little free time I have had the past couple of weeks thinking about the fact that all three members of my household need to make 2013 the year that we make health and fitness our priority. I have had several discussions with my DH, my 14 year old DS and even our family doctor. Although both my DH and DS admit and some times complain about the fact that they need to lose their excess ponds and exercise more, I am struggling with getting them to commit. I know that I can not force them into a healthier lifestyle, but I can certainly influence them by setting an example and saying no when they want to pick up take out.
I know what I need to do, but I always struggle with defining my goals. I thought that maybe we could share our goals as a team and it would help all of us light the "spark".
