Lost my pedometer, but got a new one from ebay. I liked the old one, so I went looking for the same type.

Now that I had knee replacement surgery and released from the DR, I am back on track. Still slow going, but I made steps 3118 yesterday.

DH and I drove to Potato Creek State Park. We hiked Trail 1 to Trail 2 and climbed the 3 sets of 20 steps (the map refers to as "Steam Boat Hill") and then on to climb Vargo Hill which is the highest point in the park at 885 feet. Trail 2 is listed as rugged and 2.0 miles and is accessed from Trail 1. We watched 2 pheasant fly through the woods down a creek line and then caught sight of an owl flying low across the trail and in the wood.

Hi Cyndie, I am so thankful that I did not allow fear (surrounding the recovery of my knee) prevent me from walking the Half Marathon in Sunburst this year. It came through and I finished the 13.1 miles without any ill effects.

I am happy to report over 10,000 steps yesterday, the injury that occurred six weeks ago to my right knee is healing. I walked on my lunch hour yesterday, a friend noticed that I was favoring it as I was walking down a hill. I am thankful it is holding steady and strong.

Thursday, August 2nd was a day filled with traveling to Ft. Wayne and back...less than 3400 steps on pedometer, and I forgot to place the pedometer back on my waistband when I headed downtown to teach my yoga class. Will try to get a more accurate step count today.
