Morning Team!

Been busy with the PT visits, church meetings and a date night with hubby. Also he replaced some broken tiles at church and while he did that I reorganized the Children's ministry closet. God bless the teens who put things in the closet BUT it was all kind of smooshed in there.

Easter Cantata was wonderful and we had an afternoon of fun for our 3-5 graders then I did the child safety/sexual abuse course for those working with the young children and some who are going on the mission trip. Got home about 7 pm. BOY were we tired!!

Praising God that my ocular migraines have stopped - they think it was a combo of stress and I have been having the chills and they found out I have a sinus infection - funny thing head not stuffy or even feeling congested just a continual drip. Had lost 1 pound TOO in a month so that was nice. On antibiotics and the chills have finally gone too

PRAISE GOD some of the health issues are turning the corner!! Hip/Knee still not happy - My doctor told me to tell the PT exactly WHAT I need and also to get a home program - he knows how expensive it is and the PT said this takes WEEKS to heal well then give me the exercises
Unfortunately it is still bothering me and waking me up at night. I LOVE MY doctor - he said what has your pain level been - I said at first 8 and he said THAT would be most people's 80! So if you have a level 8 THEY need to get things moving to get that down!

PRAYING FOR ALL YOUR FAMILIES AND YOU MY DEAR SPARK FRIENDS

Sending my love and our Savior's amazing love
Laura

Hello Dear Friends,
I am exhausted but good. Dear Friends were here for 4 days. We enjoyed such a wonderful visit ! Saw some local sights and family and got some great things done here at the house! What a blessing they are to me. They were also here when I got the sad news that my Sweet Cousin went home to be with Jesus.

Elsie glad the surgery is over and hope Samantha is feeling better and stronger very soon. Sorry little Kira isn't better yet. Such a long illness for a little one! Sorry Becka is still having pain and problems. Bless her heart!
Glad the plumber was able to hook up the drain and get the bathroom improvement moving again.
No doubt you are tired with 3 little ones in the house and so much stress with so much illness in
the family. Hope you can get some good rest soon!

Anjay so very sorry you have been in so much pain! Hope it is easing!

Ali so glad to hear your DS is having some brain fog lift! Praying he is feeling a lot better soon, now. Hope your DD is improving more too.
Thanks for your kind words. I am thankful the Lord's blessings to me are also a blessing to you!

Julie glad Joshua is going to be able to go on other trips.

Hugs to all!

I didn't get prayer changes to Julie but wanted to share some praises..

1. The drain is in for the shower so now we can finish it.

2. Samantha is home from the hospital.

3. Kira's cough is better but her lungs aren't clearing the way the dr. would like

4. This year we get to celebrate Andy's birthday tomorrow...first time in about 20 years..

5. God has been gifting us with some nice weather..

Now son in law, Roger, is sick with a cold. We hope it doesn't kick his asthma up. Last time he was sick he ended up in the hospital..

Blessings to all.....Elsie

God's gift to you: a clean slate every day: your gift to God: what you put on that slate....

Thanks y'all! Joshua will get to go on other trips. The youth leader really believe in missions. There was a reason he missed! Just don't know what that reason is at the moment.

Ali - that is great that DS feels a little less fog! Praying for him and for all of your family my sweet friend!
Blessings,
Julie

Morning Friends,

Praying you all are having a blessed Sunday. We are back to being cold again. GA weather is just that way, 70 one day and 40 the next.

We had a good week with some improvement in my ds. Please pray this continues. My ds has been sick for 4 years and the last 2 have been the hardest. I know I have shared on this team, but here is an outline of what has been going on, he had an accident and broke his wrist, severed his elbow, had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, parasites and some other issues due to a tick bite. All of these caused some other things. Sorry if I am repeating things.

All of that has caused great fatigue and brain fog for my ds. Last week he finally felt some of the brain fog leaving. This is the 1st light we have seen in over a year.

We so appreciate any and all of your prayers.

Elsie, praying for your family. How is Samantha today?

Anjay, so sorry about your wrist. Praying for the Lord to heal this quickly and take away all the pain.

Daddys_girl, I can not imagine all the life changes you have had to go through. I understand not having the garden like you all used too. Thank you for sharing. Praying for you my friend. You are always such a light. You have been such a blessing to me over the years even through your own loss. What an example of the Lords light you are. Thank you! emoticon

Praying for all.

Blessings,
Ali emoticon

Good Evening All,

Well Samantha had her gall bladder out last evening. She is still in the hospital.

Kira's lungs aren't clearing very well so she has been put on a different antibiotic. Her cough isn't quite as deep but the doctor isn't please with how her lungs are clearing or rather not clearing. She goes back to the doctor next week

Becka is still having pain but the surgeon says it's too soon to do another surgery. He may have to put a mesh patch in when he does the surgery.

Randy seems to be healing well.

The plumber got the drain for the other shower hooked up so now all I need is to see when it can be finished. This will be done after all the health stuff is taken care of.

Ali----what a shame that Joshua didn't get to go on the trip.

Take care all......Elsie

Hello Dear Friends,
Am expecting company tomorrow through Sunday! Hoping to check in some but if I can't you will know why! I will miss you if I can't. ;-)

Elsie sorry your family has had such a rough month and it isn't even over yet, but guess we are getting close! I can't believe it is Palm Sunday this week already! Easter will be here before we know it. I don't know if I will get my Easter dress made or not but I am not too worried. ;-)
Glad Kira is doing better. Hope Becka and Samantha feel better quickly!!

Julie sorry Joshua didn't get to go but God's plan is best, even if it looks disappointing at the time. Hope you are feeling better!!

Ali the asparagus is wonderful. I need to get out side and work more on the yard but am trying to get things done inside too. It is difficult but could be worse so trying to stay positive and keep plugging along. ;-) Nothing in the "garden" except asparagus as it comes back each year. Oh and Rosemary as it too is a bush type plant that is an perennial. I just can't do all we used to do as a couple. It is an adjustment still and I have to stop and re-evaluate and to be honest just let some things go. No hard feelings for your question just regretting what I can't do alone.

Ok, off to that famous "to do list"!! ;-)

Hugs to you all!

Morning Friends,

Wow, again, been sometime since I posted. I am trying to focus on family. We are just in a hard season right now.

My ds's brain fog seems to be getting worse. The past year for him has just been a mess. He can do about one subject a day. I am not sure what we would do if we did not homeschool. We are praying for the Lord to give us a direction here. The praise is he is feeling better as far as the fatigue and body aches.

My dd has had a few headaches lately. I am seeing a pattern with her since these issues started and it gets worse when she is stressed or tired. The blinking is getting better. All of this has compromised her immune system and she now has allergies.

Julie, sorry Joshua missed his trip. This is so hard for us as moms to see our children sick and miss opportunities. Is this trip offered again or is something similar?

Laura, you do have a mess. I understand with the insurance.

Anjay, how's your weather? Any signs of the snow leaving you all?

Elsie, praying for the Lord to lay his healing hand on your family.

Daddys-girl, you go girl "fresh asparagus" sounds wonderful. What all do you have in the garden?

Joanne, thanks for asking about the children. Great job on 1.1 pounds!

Praying for all.

hope you all have a great day.

Blessings,

Kira is doing better. She has a follow up with the doctor on Wednesday. Becka is still having some pain and is seeing the surgeon tomorrow. Yes she now has 3 girls. Randy is healing well. Now Samantha (Becka's sister) is in the hospital with an infected gall bladder. Randy is their step dad. What a month we've had...

We got the window changed this morning. I didn't get to church Wednesday evening because we had to take Kira (great granddaughter who is 4) to Urgent Care. She had a horrible deep cough that wracked her whole body plus was running a temp and vomiting. She has pneumonia and is on antibiotics. She is much better today but still had a very deep ragged cough. She did get to go to Awana tonight.

Then Saturday Becka (Kira's mom) was taken to the ER with extreme abdominal pain. Becka had a C section on March 7. The surgeon thinks some of the inner stitches have given away and allowing her bowel to fall like a hernia. She has to see him again on Monday or Tuesday....that was my week end..

Thankfully God gave us a beautiful day to visit His house.

Happy Lord's Day All!! Hard to believe next Sunday is Palm Sunday already! Where has the time gone! That means I have 2 weeks to make a dress, I wonder if that will happen!! LOL Probably not!! ;-)
We are having some lovely sunshine here today! Already I have grass that needs to be mowed! Trying to fit everything into my already full and over flowing schedule! ;-) Praise the Lord we have had enough rain to have grass!!

Elsie hope you got your window changed.

Anjay so sorry you have gotten so much more snow and cold weather! When do you get to see Jared? At first I thought you were going to tell us his gf dumped him!! I am glad that is not the case!

Laura so sorry there is more insurance struggles but praise the Lord you have insurance that pays more than half. Glad the church is supporting you! Hope your interview goes well.

Having fresh asparagus from the garden for lunch!

Hugs to all!!

semi quiet day working on the April budget and then going over medical bills - I got a call from the Carney or actually it was for Colie on their statement and gave me the #. I have not received the statement NOR is anything outstanding that is over 30 days after going to Health insurance etc - I will call them Monday - plus it went to our Third Party administrator on March 2nd which is when Blue Cross mailed it to us - SO wait until all the insurance companies pay on your $26.52

I HAVE NO TOLERANCE whatsoever with these medical billing offices. One time they called and said I owed and I said REALLY I have a receipt that says it is paid - happens all the time

PLUS I have had it with our health insurance plan! They make me pay $40 a copay for PT and then 20% of the bill as well (my third party pays 80% until deductible of 2,000 is paid) so for me to go to PT is going to run me about $125 a week! TOTALLY SCREWED UP HERE for that amount and I said to the therapist - you have FOUR weeks to get me out of crisis mode AND give me a home plan! Otherwise I will leave I cannot afford this kind of money

Having a terrible time with ocular migraines - they started Thursday and I am not happy with them at all - they come and go and do not last long but vision is affected at times greatly - today I have had 4 of them! UGH WILL be calling my doctor on Monday

Feel like I am a mess

OH and that crazy lady went nuts on my LinkedIN account with hateful emails - this after I got a nasty FB message so I unfriended her then blocked her on FB and then Christina helped me totally unconnected her on linked it - Notified head of personnel at church as well and THEY are taking care of it and UNDER no circumstances do I need to meet with her! WHAT A LOON
With that said I must say GOD LOVES HER JUST AS MUCH AS HE LOVES HER - if HE could turn her attention off of me I WOULD BE HAPPY The elders reassured me I have done nothing wrong and would talk to my pastor who says there is a deep rift between us and I keep saying HOW can I have a deep rift with a person who I only emailed and my supervisor had copies

Dad is doing great - he made macaroni and cheese one night this week and tonight he made a homemade from scratch apple crisp! YUMMMY

Hoping that the colon is settling down - the ibruprofen had an adverse affect on me PLUS there is that stomach bug going around

LIKE IS SAID I FEEL LIKE A MESS

I had my teeth cleaned this week - ALL is great But that also threw my jaw and neck out of whack

have decided to take the flexeril no matter HOW tiring it makes me - these muscles need to loosen up -

OH WELL that is my drama and woes of the week

OH and before I forget I applied for a part time office admin job here in my hometown of Southie!!! Figured I nave nothing to lose!

Oh My!! Where have I been? 2 separate groups have had to cancel their visits. I think the Lord is helping me with my schedule!! My life is busy right now! Trying to stay calm and to know the Lord will help me get done what needs to get done!
DGS is eating more and sleeping less! ;-) That in itself makes the days fuller and busier!

Richeryl glad you are getting a little break but have some one to care for and help. What a great idea!

Elsie Glad Randy is ok and hope he is recouping well.

Julie glad you aren't perfect!! ;-)

Anjay love to see you posting!!

Hugs to all and I am off to exercise!!

Good Wednesday morning to all my dear friends. Once again it has been very quiet around the house. Starr is missing her humans and I can tell. The only time she gets excited is when I bring out the leash and we go for a walk or I say the work car, which she know means going for a car ride. The good side to it is that since I can't make it to the gym need to take it easy with the asthma flare up, we go for a walk everyday. TOPS weigh I was down 1.1 pounds so am pleased with that. Now to keep it going.

Elsie I really like your images. They are a great way to keep in touch when there is little time to actually post. The only one I succeeded in posting was the image from the Hubble telescope taken of the whirlpool galaxy. I have tried to get others but can't figure out how to save them to my file. Just something else for me to discover. Your St Patrick's day one was very cute. I like the saying. How are you doing? Is Becka back home with you? How is Randy doing after his surgery?

Anjay how are you feeling? How are Wayne, Janos and Jared? Did you get more snow or did the last snowstorm pass you by?

Julie thanks for the prayer list. You are so very diligent with it. How are you, how is your dh? Is he taking better care of himself? How is the homeschooling coming along?

Cheryl glad to read your post. Has your week truly slowed down? Good for you bringing your snack with you. I need to remember to do that when I work. Slow but sure is a great way for weight loss. Just remember it did not come on overnight and will not leave overnight. Keep on keeping on you can do this!

Daddy's girl are you ready for all your company? Praying that you have a very blessed time with them.

Ali how are the children doing? How are you holding up with all this?

To all others praying that you are all well know that you are missed.

Take care everyone, have a blessed day, off to take Starr for another walk,
emoticon Joanne

Ali (1Wife2Mom)
1) Please continue to pray for my ds healing from the Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Please pray for speedy complete healing so he can start enjoying the last of his high school years.
2) Pray for my dd as she still has pneumonia and the other head issues that we do not understand. Please pray for clarity in what we are dealing with along with compete healing.

Daddysgirl
1) Asking the Lord for safety for my children as they walk the path He has directed them to follow.
2) Please pray for my Cousin, Peggy. She was home just a short time and got a nasty infection that went systemic. So back to the hospital she went. She is well enough to use her phone so we are very thankful for the improvement. Still trusting the Lord for her healing. Each time the oncologists give a number of months/weeks she has left she surpasses it! We are thankful as she is only 50 but she is so thin and frail now.
3) Thankful for so many wonderful answers to prayers!! God is so good and faithful!!
4) DS Fireman is in a courtship with a young lady he has known 6 yrs Thankful for God's provision of like minded life and soul mates for my children. Pray they will seek Christ first always.
5) DS Married man is healed and had a good week back at work.
6) Praise for the moisture too! Our closest lake is now only down 9 ft instead of 11 ft. We still need much moisture but are so thankful for each drop we get! Thanking the Lord for all the snow and ice we have had this last week!

Elsie (Saint Bernard6)
1) great granddaughter, Kira, that her eczema will get healed-----she is 4 years old and has to deal with the severe itching this disease causes. Some improvement.
2) Becka that all goes well during her C section this week. Lisha Nova will arrive either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
3) Me because I am not adjusting real well to having so much noise and commotion
4) Nephew Dan as he begins chemo for lung cancer
5) Betty--still has 2 aneurysms in her brain which are being monitored very closely
6) the men from the church will get my shower done soon.
7) Vicky will find a job she can handle with all her disabilities
8) cousins: Bonnie and Ken.....that he will do well in cardiac rehab...
9) Valerie..she is having stomach problems again

HAPPYMAMA20141
1) that my mother in law will be able to leave the hospice and return home to my brother in law and father in law.
2) that God will continue to heal my 9 month old from bronchitis
3) that my three year old will be accepted to head start

Joanne (SUNSHINE1954)
1) Prayers of thanksgiving for all our answered prayers
2) For each and everyone that we continue with God's help and strength to support and encourage each other, that those in pain and suffering will feel the loving and healing hand of our Father upon them, for those experiencing financial difficulties that they will feel God's presence as He leads them and helps them rebuild financially
3) For Fran, Gary and Twyla's salvation as well as Brendan continuing in his spiritual growth.
4) For Gary that God will lead a strong young Christian man into his life and that this man (whoever he may be) will be used by God to lead Gary to accept Christ as his Saviour.
5) For Brendan that he will continue to enjoy his school and continue to grow the friendships he has developed, that the friends he has made will remain at the school throughout all of their high school day thus showing Brendan that lasting friendships can be made something he has yet to experience in his life.
6) That through God's love Brendan will become more positive and confident that this is a great time in his life and that it will continue.
7) For Fran, Gary, Twyla, and Brendan that they would have a safe and great vacation and create many wonderful memories
8) For my friend Eva whose father is not doing well. He claims to believe in God and Jesus but refuses to accept salvation as he sees this as putting down his culture and be an insult to his parents who raised him as a Buddhist.
9) For myself that I will continue working out on a regular basis putting into practice the new exercise routine that I am learning from the new trainer.
10) For healing from this asthma flare up that God would heal it and thus make breathing so much easier.

Hoping next Saturday doesn't follow the path of the last 2 Saturdays. Last Saturday, we were at the hospital for the birth of my 8th great grandchild. Lisha Nova made her entrance between 12:15 and 12:30 PM. She weighed 6 pounds and was 18 1/2 inches long.

Friday night, Tammy took Randy to the ER with severe abdominal pain. They diagnosed gall bladder and shipped him to Joplin by ambulance. Since the surgeon was already in surgery (lasted until 3 AM), his surgery was scheduled for 1:30 PM Saturday. He finally got to surgery around 3:30 PM and back in his room around 6:30 PM. We got back home about 8 PM. Because his white count was very high they kept him over night for IV antibiotics. He came home today.

Tomorrow is one of my mornings to open the gift shop at the hospital then laundry in the afternoon. Hoping it is nice enough to hang the clothes out.

Beautiful day here today---got into the 70's......Elsie

Hi'ya all!! Been running ragged here for over a week and feeling it!! Soo tired but at least this upcoming week will slow down a bit. I was working as a substitute care giver again, but during the evening shift instead of the morning one. Different duties. I love working for this 89 yr old gal but I am on my feet and moving for 2 - 3 hours straight. My feet throb once I am home. My little old lady has family in right now so not sure when or if she will need me again. I got smart and remembered to take my snack/protein bar and a bottle of water with me so that IF things slowed down a minute or two, I could at least have a bite and a sip and not end up ravenous once I got home. Weight loss has been rather slow this past couple weeks, but at least no gain. I would love for my body to say, "hey, she isn't starving me, guess I can give up a couple pounds this week" but an not holding my breath. Hugs to all, Cheryl

Good Sunday morning to all of my dear friends. It has not started off as a very nice day, cold, windy and snowy but that will change I am sure.

Anjay hoping you are having a great weekend. How are Wayne and the boys doing?

Elsie just love the pics. They do brighten up things. Today it does not feel like spring is coming anytime soon but I am confident that it will. Rain does make it feel so much colder doesn't it?

Daddy's girl, glad you are getting the rain you need, will continue to pray that you get the moisture you need but no floods. Although I speak mostly of Twyla and Brendan, I actually have four nephews and three nieces. The two oldest nephews are in their early 30s and definitely not ready to settle down. My oldest niece Chelsea is 20 and in college so hopefully no plans for her to become a mother. At this point and time I truly pray that I will not be a Great Auntie as none of my nieces or nephews are ready for that step. Russell (21) is still in University - 3rd year of Health Sciences possibly a doctor, Audree (his sister 20) is in first year College for Legal clerk. Then I have Twyla (16) and Brendan (14). I am so happy for you that you get to spend the time with your dgs. I can hear it (read it) in your posts. How are you doing with getting ready for all this company? You really are one busy young lady.

Laura glad to read that your dad is back home. I am sure that it won't be long before he gets his strength back. What will the vets do for Linus' toe? I imagine that it can't be splinted or cast. Glad you got to enjoy a home cooked meal after all the on the fly meals you have been eating. As Daddy's girl said stress can make you lose weight unfortunately it does not tend to do that for me but there you go. How are you doing?

Ali and Julie how are you both?

Well time to go get ready for work, as well as put puppy out.

Take care everyone and have a blessed Sonday,
emoticon Joanne

Hi Friends!!
Laura sometimes worry makes us lose weight too. Hope you can keep it off. I struggle with that, when life returns to normal it comes right back on. ;-( Glad Dear Dad is home and hope he can regain his strength too.

Elsie yes the damp does make it feel so much colder. It has been that way all week here. But like I said I promised myself not to complain about the rain since we have been dry for so long. lol

Hoping to get a lot done today. 3 different times different company is coming to my house this month and I feel so behind. Thankfully I know they don't come to see my house but come to see me! ;-)

Hugs to you all!!

My Dad is home from the hospital - now to get his strength back and get him more active

Linus did fracture his toe the vet called back after the radiologist reviewed the x-ray

I am beyond tired - was happy though to prepare a nice cooked dinner tonight - it has been on the fly for meals for over a week - I dropped 5 pounds - hmm and here I thought I was overeating

God Bless

Laura

Hi Friends!!
Elsie love your posts!! They make me smile!!

Joanne thanks for asking. The area lakes were at 6.5 ft down this past Wed. We have had some rain since but not much. But at least not hot sun that will make the water evaporate. So thankful we are up before the heat begins! So praying we will continue to get soft long gentle rains that will fill the lakes more.
All is well here. The baby is growing and changing almost daily. He follows us with his eyes and smiles us whenever we stop to talk with him. Such a fun little fellow to be with!
How old is your oldest niece/nephew? Any chance you will be a great Auntie before too long?
Good job at adding the photo!!

Anjou hope you have a great weekend too! How is Jared doing? Still enjoying his job? Janos will soon finish another year of college? Will he be a Jr or Sr next year.

Hugs to All!

Good Wednesday evening to all my dear friends. It has been a very quiet few days on my front. I have not been able to make it to the gym as I have been fighting an asthma flare up. I finally took myself to the doctor's yesterday only to be put on a three day course of high dose prednisone. During a power outage, I had gone out to check on an elderly neighbor who is frail and lives alone. Long story short she smokes like a chimney and I knew for health reasons that I should not have stayed (second hand smoke) but felt that I was meant to be there so chose to stay, hence the asthma flare up. The doctor did send me for an x-ray to make sure there was no infection as I had a slight fever. Good news no infection and the prednisone has really kicked in, I can breathe again. YAY!!!

Daddy's girl did you get a lake report? If so how are things? Yes the little ones do grow fast don't they? It really has been quiet hasn't it?

Laura how nice to read your post. Your life, as usual, is full of intrigue and excitement (not the fun kind though). Good for you to take things into your hands and going up the food chain. It is sad to say but if we don't take care of our loved ones who else will? If your hospital staff is anything like ours in Ontario, the front line workers are overworked, under appreciated and underpaid. I hear you about the NG tube it does not seem possible that it could dislodge itself. As long as your dad is doing better I guess that is the important thing. Good thing he did not discharge himself that would be very unfortunate. How did he tolerate the clear liquids. Sisters will be sisters won't they? You just gotta smile and love them the way they are. How is Linus doing? Is the cream helping any? It is so sad when our pets are in pain and there is so precious little we can do about it. I sometimes feel it is worse than a loved one (human) as we can tell people what is wrong (if we choose) but our pets can't. Did the cortisone injection help you any? Good news about the hip. It only goes to show that exercise does keep us flexible. You go girl!!!

Linnie sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. Glad you could get the tooth taken care of. Other than that how are things going? Are you still working at the store?

Elsie thanks for explaining. I just saw that at the top of the page. Will have to check it out. Glad you had such a good time. It helps to create memories does it not? Are Becka and Lisha back with your for good or was it just a visit? How is Kira's excema doing? Did the new cream help her? Glad you had a beautiful day and got to take Daisy out for a run. You really do take care of the birds that is true devotion. Although our snow is melting and we have had few days of sunshine it will some time before we have any flowers growing but they will come of that I am sure.

Anjay sorry to hear that you have been having a bad week. Glad that things are going better.

Well ladies time to take a break from the computer.

Take care everyone and have a blessed evening,
emoticon Joanne

anyone can post the pictures or siggies...at the top of the reply page is a button that says "add an image", just click on that and follow directions...it is very easy and fun..

We had a great time yesterday and then discovered when I got back home that Becka was here with Lisha....my she is tiny...weighed just 6 pounds and 18 1/2 inches long...Kira and Nala are still next door at Nana's and Papa's house. They most likely will stay at least until the week end.

Worked at the church tonight.

Beautiful day here...got to take Daisy out for a walk and a run plus filled the bird feeders, checked on the spring flowers...the hyacinths are beginning to get buds on them and the tulip plants are up about 3 inches....daffodils are up also about 4 to 6 inches making a nice patch of green...haven't seen any growth on either the blackberry bush or the rose bushes yet. the ground is still very spongy and we may be getting rain the next 3 days..

So glad to hear from Sas-----sorry you have been so ill....and from Laura...hoping things are going better for both you and your dad..

Take care....Elsie

UPDATES FROM ME

YES I HAVE HAD SEVERAL LONG DAYS/NIGHTS - I really had a run it with the surgical department for my dad who ran a bunch of tests and THEN gave us any results or even saw my dad for a whole day DID NOT EVEN CLUE THE NURSES IN

Needless to say I went up the FOOD CHAIN so to speak to get who was in charge and TRUST ME NOW Dad is on the surgical floor and is right across from the nurses station etc - He was going to go AMA which is discharge himself against medical advice it was AWFUL

MUCH better now BUT I JUST know he took out the NG tube - How do those get dislodged easily? That is what I was told I just have a hard time accepting a tube in your nose down to your stomach JUST DISLODGES!!!

So on the good news front he needed in all essence to start "pooping" on his own - and he has somewhat -giving him the pain meds does put the bowel to sleep
He started in on clear liquids today

OH and you all are gonna love this my sister has been very helpful and been around BUT she is talking like SHE was on the trip to Hawaii my Dad is telling the doctors!! I obviously am pulling out the PHOTOS to show the doctors

LINUS went back to the vets again today he can barely walk!!! He is hoping on 3 legs and one back leg is gimpy too - poor thing - they took x-rays to make sure the toe was not broken
He has a severe soft tissue injury on top of the nail crack so they are giving him anti-inflammatories plus pain meds - HE WOKE ME UP whimpering last night so that a is a BIG thing

AS FOR LAURA - well I saw the orthopedist and the IT bend which is a tendon from the hip to the knee is severely inflamed! I got that bursitis is causes too - an injection of cortisone for that AND PT - great news he showing me my hip x-rays and he said NOT A TOUCH of arthritis and it will stay that way because you are so flexible - he laughs because I can put my opposite foot in my groin and I never took yoga - ALL THAT ICE SKATING and SWIMMING

I am off the heavy doses of ibruprofen - It was doing a number on my colon.

Got to get the laundry finished and get over to the hospital

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PRAYERS

Laura

Yeah!! Joanne is back to post again!! ;-)

I did text Laura to let her know she is in our prayers. Haven't heard back and don't know if Dad had to have the surgery or not.

All is well here. Kind of a slow day but still getting some things done. DGS is in his first 6 mth size outfit. They sure do grow quickly! Thankful he is healthy! He is such a happy little guy!

Today is no sun but no rain either. Wish it would do one or the other! Hope to get a lake depth report today.

Hugs to all!!

Good Tuesday to all of you. It has been quite beautiful out here today and yesterday. For the first time in many months the temperatures have been above freezing (41F). This makes for beautiful walking weather which is what I have been doing. Had my TOPS weigh in yesterday, stayed the same as last week which is fine by me considering all the times I ate in the restaurant last week.

Elsie you have the most beautiful quotes. Where do you find them and how to you get them on here? How are Becka and the new grand daughter doing? Enjoy your time with your grandson. What a beautiful gift from God.

Julie once again thanks for the prayer list. Praise God that all is well with your hubby. Will keep you in my prayers. I hear you about the inhaler. I have not used my emergency inhaler in some time either but have been using it for the past few days as my asthma has been acting up.

Ali glad it is warmer out there for you. Hopefully you will get some sunshine soon. I find that makes all the difference in the world. The naturopath I see has me taking Vitamin D and I have found that it has helped me this winter. Will pray that you do get caught up in your work and that your ds and dd are totally and completely healed as well as rescheduling their SATs. That would be one less stress that is for sure. I have never heard of either of those videos. Who are these speakers and what are their topics? I have made a commitment to post more often as I notice a big difference in my life when I am more active on this board. I am not joking when I say the support of this group has helped me a LOT!!!!

Daddy's girl, glad you are still getting moisture. It will surely help. Have you managed to get your projects done? Yes we really do have much to be thankful for. Yet it is so easy to forget. As Ali said please let Laura know that she and her father are in my prayers. Enjoy your time with your dgs. they truly are blessings. I don't have any grandchildren but do so enjoy my nieces and nephews and don't know what I would do if they were not close by.

Anyhow ladies off to the movies tonight. My sister and I are going to see DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). It is supposed to be a comedy with a good message to it. Will let you know.

Take care everyone and have a great evening,
emoticon Joanne

PS. Please pray for Brendan, he has agreed to help out with VBS at the church I attend. Pray that God will provide him with a spot that he will feel valued and worthwhile as well as make new and closer (to home to is) friends. Thanks

Hello Friends,
It is warming up here and we are still getting moisture! Thanks so much to you all that have prayed with us for water.
I am working hard on getting some things done around the house before company comes at the end of the month!

Joanne so glad to see you post! You are welcome for the comments and they are spoken in truth! We each have so much to be thankful for, really!

Elsie love your choice of postings. Miss your personal comments though. Hope you are doing well.
So thrilled for you that you have been reunited with your DGS and get to spend time with him!

Julie glad all is well with DH. Hope you feel much better soon.

Ali you are most welcome. I will text Laura and let her know. Glad DS is seeing improvements. Being close to Grandparents is wonderful! So glad mine is close. Love getting to spend so much time with him and getting to see his parents each day!

Off to tackle some of my projects!! ;-)

Morning,

We are having much better weather this week. Well, it is warmer, we are suppose to even be in the 70's, however it is overcast and rainy. Still not fun to be outside. We just need some sunshine!

The light seems to be helping. My ds is also taking vitamin D. Elsie, do you take vitamin D? We are very prayerful we can get caught up with everything and that everyone will be healed. My ds seems to be able to do a couple of subjects a day is all right now. Please pray for both of my children. My dh had both of them scheduled to take the SAT this weekend. I am thinking about seeing if I can change this.

Our Bible Study group is doing a Ken Ham study right now. but last week we took a break from that and looked at a Chuck Missler. Have you ever heard of him? The video moved very fast but was loaded with info. Some of the kids found it hard to listen to.

Joanne, you are so right , most of us have so much to be thankful for! It is good to see you posting more.

Julie, praying for you my friend. sorry you are going through this, glad to hear your dh came through so well.

Daddys-girl, thanks for the info on Irene. Please let Laura know we are praying for her and her dad. I am glad you are blessed to be able to enjoy your dgs. My children have been blessed to live near their grandparents and I think it makes such a difference. I do not want to rush life, but I am looking forward to having grandchildren.

Elsie, congrats on the new grandbaby. Like I mentioned earlier, this is such a blessings. I love the flowers you posted!

Hope everyone has a blessed day. I am going to check out Irene's blog.

Blessings,
Ali emoticon
