Prayer requests, please just keep my kids on the list. They are doing better, but still need our prayers. I think the list has been quiet, everyone is huddled in keeping warm and busy. I am picking out paint today for the house. The flooring gets delivered on the 9th, so we will be able to get that finished. The builder is starting TODAY on the bathroom upstairs, so that should be finished by next week. Please keep that in prayer. I so want to get moved. I paid a house payment and rent yesterday.

Happy New Year's to all my friends. emoticon emoticon emoticon
If any of you are traveling or driving on this evening please drive carefully. My prayers, thoughts, and wishes are with each one of you. As this year comes to a close and a new one begins I thank each and everyone of you for your friendship and support. Both are greatly appreciated.

I had thought that I would be able to answer each post however, this laptop is NOT cooperating. In fact it is probably my error (hitting the wrong key or something) but my post constantly disappears.

Well before I lose the post once more, I will say have a great evening and a blessed New Year,

Happy New Year Dear FRiends!
I probably won't be on again today! Having company this evening and need to get things together! DH has gone to get firewood. I am looking forward to a warm cozy fire this evening. It is cold and damp here although I don't think it is raining anymore! We need the moisture. We are in drought conditions again and almost as bad as summer a year ago.! Not good news!
So thank you Lord for the rain!

Joanne glad you can get on a read posts and let us know how you are doing!! Have a great time with the little people and puppies!

Elsie have a great day trip tomorrow! May you have a safe and fun time together!!

Blessings to all!!

Good Morning Everyone,

I woke up to a splotchy white blanket this morning with more coming down. Could get up to 1 inch today. I am glad my bird feeders are filled. Also, I put out orange halves for the wood peckers.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year today because I am leaving tomorrow morning at 6:15 AM for a day trip with one of my daughters.

Take care and be safe especially if going out tonight.

Thanks, Julie for the prayer list---you are so faithful in doing this for us.

Good Sunday evening to all my dear friends. This will be a short post as I am using my dbil's work laptop and I have just gotten a message that says I only have 10% power. I have read your posts and will make a point of answering them tomorrow.

I will however take the time to emoticon Mom to the team. As Daddy's girl said take your time to get to know the site. The most important thing is to come back here often and to get the encouragement we all need. You will find that we truly do support and encourage each other and not only in weight matters. In fact, but it is not limited to Sunday's list, Julie posts a weekly list of prayer requests. It is truly amazing the praying power of this team. I would even venture to say that miracles have happened because of the power of prayer. Feel free to just jump in and ask questions, post your comment etc. I look forward to getting to know you better.

Ali continued prayer for finding the church God has for you. To all the others have a blessed New Year and gotta go just got a red warning to plug in or disconnect so I had better disconnect.

Have a blessed Sunday evening everyone,
emoticon Joanne

Got a good message this morning. Another Sunday School class combined with us this morning so our room was full..........sure was great to see. No services tonight.

Very cloudy and overcast here with possible snow/rain showers later today. Maybe this will bypass us like the sleet did last week.

Welcome to the team, mom....We are so glad to have you with us.

Take care...............Elsie

Hello All,
Happy Lord's Day to you all!

Ali so sorry today is the final day for your church. Hope 2013 hold many wonderful Firsts!! We changed churches as the year changed too, 16 yrs ago. Hope you find a great one and will be there for many years to come!
It is wonderful that family is all close together. When I was really young we were close to my Dad's family and then when I was almost 12 we moved 1/2 way across the country and were within 2 hrs of my Mom's family. Then I married and move 1/2 across the country and the closest family was 8 hrs from us. We did see that precious Aunt and Uncle on major holidays but not near enough and then we lost them both so were days away from family. Our church family became very close to us then! So I ache with you over your church loss!

MomSWTP hope you can find your way back and will post often! Reading as often as you can and clicking on every thing of interest will you learn the site well. It takes time though as there is so much here to read and to do! Praying you have success on your journey!!

Sas my DDil's Mom and Dad have a farm and they have goats, donkeys, chickens, and a cow. When I hear "barn chores" I think lots of critters. But you are doing barn chores for the horse only, is that right? Hope you have a good day at work!

Blessings to you all!

Welcome to the club mom. You will find peace and comfort here. Not much going on today. Have to go do barn chores, then off to work.

Morning Friends,

Well today is the last service at our little church. A sad day. It looks like 2013 will hold many 1st for us.

Julie, you go girl. I am working on decluttering also just a little slower. emoticon Glad you mother now has power!

Elsie, glad you did not get the sleet. The chilli sounds so good. My dh and ds do not eat chilli so we do not get it very often.

Laura you are as busy as ever. I do not think you are one to sit around however I do agree you need to turn some ot that over if that is they way they want it they need to make it happen. Praying you are on the mend and will feel better soon. Hope you all had a great dinner!

Joanne, thanks for the prayers they are so appreciated. I will be praying for Brendan, I know the therapy and exercises have truly helped my dd, she needs a little more. Twyla sounds very talented. I hope she gets the hs she wants. We have 1 set of friends coming New Years Eve and the children would love more but they are good with that. We have been invited to another friends and I am good with that, but the children would like to stay home, which is good. You could be having a very interesting time with the dogs, I do want to hear how it goes.

SAS, that's a great reminder, we do have people all over praying for us, great comfort! emoticon

Anjay, that's great you have it finished that much. God is so good, so glad you had a good day.

Daddys_girl, such fun to spend time with family and friends. Enjoy. Wow that is wonderful that everyone is within 3 hours. We are all within about 1 1/2 of each other in my family and we live in the town my dh grew up in and his dad is here. My ds crochets, but I do not, maybe one day.

Still missing some, Melody, Cook...

Praying for all.

Blessings In Christ,
Ali emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello Dear Friends!
LOL here I am catching up again!! Been a busy week and next week looks busy too but we are with family and friends and thankful for all the Lord has given us! WE are so blessed!!

Irene - thinking about Mary from the time the Angel Gabriel came to her until she was at the foot of the cross watching her son dying for all of us, is just amazing. Looking forward to sharing thoughts on motherhood with her we I get to Heaven!
Thankfully I have 4 of the Y generation that don't fit the Y definition!! Thank you Jesus!!
LOL about January diet!!

Joanne thanks for the report on Brendan and Twyla. They are such precious kids and yes they all grow up, much to quickly!!
2 of Our sons had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We had Christmas Day at home with the 2 that live here and then had Christmas again last night with DS and DDil (they both loved the afghan and I am glad I got it done just in time to get it wrapped and loaded to go.) We will have it again next week when DS #2 and his sweet girl can make it into town. Lots of celebrating and lots of fun. They are great kids and I hate to tell you how old they are! I surely can't be old enough to have "children" their ages!! lol I love having them all home together, adult conversations between them all is so fun! Hopefully we will have a wedding in 2013 but no engagement yet so might not be until 2014. Glad they are taking their time and really learning to work together before they take steps they can't reverse and hurt one another and their families.
Congrats to Brendan on the computer!! Great father/son time!! Woo Hoo!!

Ali the afghan is crocheted. I don't know how to knit but would like to learn. I am blessed to have all my children within 3 hrs of me. Hope it always stays that way but God's plan is best!!

Julie hope you Mom has the power back and it stays on now! Did you get the boys things straightened out and in order? They out grow things so quickly! Toys included!
Glad your Mom's power is back on! So sweet of your Sis to stay with your Mom!

Jessica did you lose the water weight? It sounds silly to drink lots when you are retaining water but the water flushes the salt and then the water goes too. I gained 4 lbs in one day when I had only been on Sparks for a short time. I thought I was avoid bad (fatty) State Fair Foods and had a giant dill pickle instead! lol Others told me to drink lots of water and it would be gone in 3 or 4 days and they were right!!
Sorry you got hacked! Hope you can get it straightened out!

Anjay so glad you had a good Christmas. Children do challenge us for sure!! Anjay hope you don't have too bad of a storm and don't lose your power but thankfully you have wood burning stove!

Sas the Lord will bring good from all this. Robin just has to keep doing right. Will be praying!
Glad you are making such good progress on the flooring!

Elsie did you get much snow or ice! Hope you didn' t loose your power!

Laura I need to hire you to come to help me! Would we get anything done or would we do too much talking. lol Hope you got done all that you wanted to do! I am not taking decorations down until next weekend. Hope you were able to shovel the snow without hurting yourself. Wow!! 2 Yrs or more we have known one another. Seems like you were getting over back strain from shoveling snow when we met! Have a great Sunday!

LOL !! The family was given a coffee, espresso, cappuccino maker for Christmas. DH, DD and DS are all in the kitchen trying to figure out how to make cappuccinos!! Wonder how they will turn out!! lol

Good Night to All! Cappuccino is smelling good. lol Might try it after all!!
Blessings and hugs!

We got up early emptied out the last of the closets etc and went to Morgan memorial AGAIN
From there we went to Home Depot and got light bulbs and a tire gauge seems my back tire looked low - it was BEYOND low so after we had my birthday surprise breakfast from Panera Bread - did some quick bargain hunting at Bed Bath and Beyond. I saved over $57 plus coupons then only paid $51 for what I got YEA!!!

Colie suggested we head to Sullivan tire since I needed an oil change so off we went and they rotated my tires, found a small nail and repaired my tire and got the oil change done in 2 1/4 hours. I went to the mall and we only spent $50 on some cocoa mix for hot cocoa and somethings at Target - we felt blessed we did not need anything

BETTER YET I got a discount etc and the tire repair, tire rotation AND oil change was only $51!!!

Got my January budget set in my checkbook on my computer along with savings budget - looks like we will pay about $2000 to the IRS thus working on that savings budget for sure - will not know what the state tax looks like for a couple of weeks

SNOW is starting to fall here and they have already declared a state of emergency in the city - wow only 4-6 inches and the weatherman is saying 6 in the city - most of it from 9- midnight. We will shovel later on tonight and also get most off our car so we make church in the AM

Hugs and love to all
Laura

Thanks so much for the prayers. I love you folks. I am so glad that God directed me to this team. When I tell my kids that I have friends all over the world praying for them, it is true. It is super cold today, my feet are freezing, but I could put on some socks lol. Facing a stack of bills, yuck. Those will wait until payday. Matt is up putting the last of the grout in the tiles on the one bedroom floor, then I clean it and all the spill over he did, then the sealer and that room is finished, then the other rooms.

Julie-----praise God that their heat has been restored.

God really took very good care of us because all the storms went around us. We didn't get the sleet or snow that was expected.

Nothing special planned for today except to take DJ for a walk.

They were without heat for 48 hours. I am glad my sister stayed with her. My mom is 75 and I would hate for her to be there alone. My sister went on home yesterday afternoon though. Thanks for asking!

I am up late tonight so it is already Saturday somewhere so I will send out my reminder now. Any updates for the prayer list Sunday night? Please PM them to me!

Thanks a bunch!
Blessings,

Good Friday afternoon to all my friends. Okay, can someone please tell me where the days are going? Time is really flying. Today I am off to my younger sister's place (Carole) as she and her family leave to go to Florida for a week. I will be dogsitting hers and Fran's dog (Starr and Barcley) which should be interesting as Starr has never been dogsat other than at her home. Will let you all know how things go.

Laura nice to read your post. There have been many of us MIA. I only started back (posting and tracking) this week. You sound as if you have been busy as usual. It makes me tired just to read your posts. emoticon Glad that you are taking time for yourself. I had a mini spa day just before Christmas (got it through Dealfind) and had forgotten how great it makes us feel. Must remember to budget this in for the coming year, even if it is only every three months. How was your Christmas? Did your siblings come over for it? Do you have any plans for New Year? Enjoy your dinner tonight you deserve it.

Elsie glad to hear that you didn't get the sleet. I am sure that is a relief. Do you make your chili from scratch including the beans? Wow that is amazing, I just open up the can of kidney beans and away I go.

Julie, it sounds like we are all have decluttering days. I am taking a break from cleaning and putting away. I am very strange that way. When I know I am going to be away, I have to clean the house. Since you rarely get snow, I can understand why you would be excited about it. Were your mom and sister without heat for very long?

Jessica thanks for the heads up. I will most definitely watch out for that. Would that apply to the Sparkmail as well or just general emails? Should we be looking for variations of your address or do you know? I had this happen a few years ago. It is so frustrating emoticon and time consuming. Keep us posted on how things are going with this.

Ali definitely praying for a positive outcome for your church search. I can still remember how difficult it is to find a new home church and I only had myself to look for. Praying also that people will accept your invitation to come over on New Year's eve especially for the children's sake. To answer your questions, Brendan is actually getting more tests today (total of 2 hours)and then they will determine the treatment plan for him. Right now as the optometrist said the glasses are only a crutch until the exercise program can be done. As for Twyla she is interested in all areas of the art but specifically visual arts. She has also taken vocal, dance and saxophone lessons. In fact mom and dad bought her a junior saxophone for Christmas so who knows maybe she will end up in instrumental music.

Irene, I really like that poem. How true it is! Good reminder on getting back on track as soon as possible and not have the "I'll do it when I get around to it" or the "I'll start tomorrow" attitude. Those two attitudes are the ones that get me into trouble!!!! Are you still following the no dessert rule? Love that Y generation post. It is so true!

Sas here's to having you in your new home by the end of January! That's great that you have trustworthy workers. This must give you peace of mind. Praying for Robin and Mandy that they will be kept safe in this situation and that God's will be done.

Anjay so glad to hear that Wayne decided to set an example for Janos. Praying that this will continue. Hope that you had a great Christmas as well. Glad to read that you went out and could relax. emoticon

Well ladies must get going and finish the cleaning. Will try to post while at my sister's. However, if I don't get on here before New Year's have a very Happy New Year.

Take care and have a blessed end of day,
emoticon Joanne

Well I have been MIA but pretty busy!

I had a 3 hour spa day!! After using gift cards and deals it was only $134 which was great!!

Have been gutting out bookcases and checking over closets and donating to Morgan memorial! Spent over an hour doing that yesterday. Today I got laundry on, took Dad to BJ's. we already hit Costco's last night, Shaws too. So all the meat and groceries are in, filled my gas tank so we should be all set for the New Year. Still busy going up 32 stairs ab=nd back down them! I have about 3 more runs to go but stopped I was a bit winded from lugging stuff up and down1 Trying to get the spare bedroom more in order so the kids can turn it into their "den". had to laugh they want two TV's on in the bedroom and one in the den and I told them you have two now one is smaller but they both want LARGE screen TV's and that ain't happening. Colie said to me and he is right I am the only one trying to configure that right and where to put our Christmas stuff so they won't be surrounded by boxes in their den. Neither one seems interested and so after I get tid of the donations for Morgies from that room I and I put the tree away and decorations (I have alternate storage area already picked out) I am NOT doing anything else. I have made some suggestions they need to come to us and act upong them. Also told them THEY are moving the king size bed OUT and off the 3rd floor to my Dad's 3rd floor!! WE are not doing it!

Still working on my taxes - so far with my current deductions I have the tax bill down to 2300! I still have more eto go to Morgies tomorrow!! Hopefully we can get it down some more

the sore in mouth gets small and if my mouth is dry all night it looks raw in the AM - I am using yeast medication for my mouth and other body parts will finish up on Sunday. This has been a long drawn out siege

Out to dinner tonight - our neighbors are taking a bunch of us out to celebrate the other neighbor who broke into all the houses Prison sentence. Three years at Walpole , 3 years probation and he cannot be within a 9 block radius of our street!!

Today is a day to get rid of clutter around the house. Yesterday was a laid back do nothing day! LOL! Today I need to focus and get rid of some of the boxes from the kid's things. It is driving me a little crazy.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning,

Hope you all are having a blessed week with friends and family.

We were so blessed with our last church as most everyone with children homeschooled. It was a family integrated church. We have 2 churches to visit and we will take it from there. I do not visit churches without my dh and he works some weekends so this makes it even harder. We are so sad.

Another request if you think about it. My dh is working New Years Eve and I have invited some families over. We have done this in the past and we are not getting a good response this year. My children just want some friends to play games with and hangout. Please pray something works out. We used to spend it with my grandmother until she got sick and now she is with the Lord.

Anjay, what a blessing to have the situation turn out like it did. It is good to hear that you had such a good relaxing day with family and friends. I love those days. never enough of them.

Sas, praying for Robin, Mandy and Jamie. Praying the truth will come to light and for protection for Mandy from all of this. Praying for your new home to be on schedule.

Praying for all.

Blessings,
Ali emoticon emoticon

It was the month after Christmas and all through the house
nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste,
at the holiday parties had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
the wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
and the way I'd never said, "No Thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
and prepared once again to do battle with dirt.
I said to myself, as I only can
"you can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So---away with the last of the sour cream dip,
get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
every last bit of food that I like must be banished
till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie----not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome and life is a bore,
but isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!!!

HOpefully we will be in the house by the end of January. We just spent 3,300 on new flooring today, and that is about half of what we will need to finish. They should be starting on the bathroom soon that is being built upstairs, then the fire escape and the bigger window that you exit through for the fire escape. We are doing the floors ourself, and we have hired contractors to do the bathroom. The contractor is a neighbor up there, and a Christian to boot, so no worries about it being done properly. Please add my son Robin to the prayer list. His ex lied, got a restraining order, cost him his concealed weapon permit, and now he cannot see his daughter. She is stripping and working as a prostitute and when he said he was taking his two year old daughter to keep her safe, she went and told the courts that he said he was going to shoot her. It is a mess, it will work out, but please add him to the list. His name is Robin, the ex is Jamie, and the baby is Mandy and she is only two. What a nightmare. I am so thankful that I have God to lean on and trust, or I would go nuts.

The best thing for the inside of a woman is the outside of a horse. SADDLE UP AND RIDE!!!

We had an amazing Christmas, Wayne decided he would set an example to Janos` that the best fight won, is the one who walks away. I know how difficult it was for him, but it turned out great.
We drove Jared home yesterday and met a friend at Boston Pizza's before driving home, in the evening we went over to friends and visited there, it felt so good to be able to relax and have some fun
Hope everyone had a great Christmas

Morning,

We will get busy today. It was nice just to be lazy yesterday. I am now ready to get some things done.

Well friends, I am asking for prayers, I think I explained before we are in need of a new church and my dh is not home but a couple of Sundays in January so it could take a while. We have already visited 2 churches however the pastors at both were out when we visited so we will go back. I think I also said the children did not like the same one. It's just sad and hard.

Daddys_girl so glad you all will get together after the New Year, it is always fun when everyone is together. We all still go to my parents for Christmas with our children and my siblings even spend the night with my parents on Christmas Eve. We do if my dh has to work, but if he is home we stay home. My dh's dad goes with us sometimes otherwise we see him on Christmas Eve and all go to church together. You are so blessed that you get to see everyone during this time. O.K. I do not knit or crochet so are you knitting or crocheting?

Joanne, please just pray for us and a church. I know you have walked in these shoes. I will be doing laundry and returns today. Sorry your dinner did not work out. I am trying to get do the same thing New Years eve as dh is working and the children and I will be home so I have invited all those I know in the same boat over so far it is not working out. I am praying it will as my children want to do something and I thought snacks and games would be fun. Sure sounds like you all had a blessed Christmas. Thanks for sharing about Brendan and Twyla. I was wondering. I understand about the eye stuff. There is so much that happens with the eyes. My dd has some issues with her eyes. That's great that Brendan got glasses and can focus better now. Does he have to do eye exercises? That's pretty cool that Twyla can look at different High Schools. What kind of art is she interested in?

Julie, praying for you mom and your sister. Do they have a fire place? Can they get somewhere? Praying they are staying warm and comfortable somehow.

Irene as always love your encouraging post, but really liked the Y!

Praying for all, missing many.

Blessings,
Ali emoticon emoticon

Joanne - we rarely have snow so no I do not do any of those.

Please pray for my mom. She is without power for the second night in a row. My sister is still with her for which I am grateful but I am still worried. Low is 17 tonight.

Blessings,
Julie

THE 'Y' CHROMOSOME

People born before 1946 are called -
The Greatest Generation.

People born between 1946 and 1964 are called
The Baby Boomers.

People born between 1965 and 1979 are called
Generation X.

And people born between 1980 and 2010 are called -
Generation Y.

Why do we call the last group -Generation Y ?
Y should I get a job?

Y should I leave home and find my own place?

Y should I get a car when I can borrow yours?

Y should I clean my room?

Y should I wash and iron my own clothes?

Y should I buy any food?

Y should I do anything when I can get it all for FREE?

Good Wednesday evening to all my friends. What a great and relaxing day here! I didn't do much except go out to exchange a DS game I had bought for Twyla. Of all the games she showed me, I went and got the only one she had in that series. Thanks goodness I had asked for a gift receipt so off we went to exchange it and when we went it was not too busy. But it sure got crazy after just one hour in the store. Christmas day was actually very quiet here. I spent if with, you guessed it Twyla, Brendan, Fran and Gary.

I haven't given you an update on Brendan in awhile so allow me to do so now. He is doing quite well in the Arrowsmith program and continues to progress and show an interest in school that he hasn't had in a long time (4 years to be exact). He is even talking about what he will do after high school and what university he will attend. In fact the sparkle that had disappeared from his eyes is coming back. I can't believe what he asked for Christmas. He had seen a computer kit that you build. Once you are finished, you have an actual working computer. His parents did get it for him and now he and Gary are working on it together. The irony in all of this is that once the computer is built, he will have the fastest as well as the largest memory computer in the house. His reading continues to improve and he is now wearing glasses to correct a depth perception problem. He went to see a developmental optometrist who does very specialised testing. She discovered that when he reads words and symbols float off the page which of course makes reading almost impossible. It was rather exciting to listen to him once he got his glasses. He would see things that Fran and I had commented on (for example geese in the field) in previous weeks and become quite excited from seeing them. I thank God each day for the progress in this young man. Twyla continues to check out high schools. She is quite interested in the Art High School which is kind of surprising as it is only recently that she has discovered the arts and an interest in them. It is a really good high school with a strong academic side as well. If she is not accepted there she will go to the high school with the gifted program in Markham. It is all so cool to see exciting but a little depressing as well as this means my nieces and nephews are all grown up. emoticon emoticon Now enough of this.

Although the New Year is not yet here, I have established a few goals. One is to be more faithful in posting (a minimum of four times a week) even if it is just to say "hi". Two is to be down 10% of my weight by the end of 2013 which would be down 25 pounds. The last one is that the weight loss small group that I would be facilitating at church would be successful and honouring to God. We are looking into two programs. One is Weigh Down by Karen Kingsbury and the other is the Prism program. If anyone has heard of or used either program your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Jessica I don't believe that I have emoticon d you to the group. So welcome my friend. You will find that we are quite supportive and encouraging of each other especially when things are difficult. That is not a huge gain and as Daddy's girl said it could very well be water retention. Your meal actually sounds quite reasonable and healthy. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Irene once again a very thought provoking post. It parallels what Ken, our pastor, said in his Christmas eve sermon. The fact that God would come down and become one of us in our human and frail form is quite amazing. How are you feeling? Are your knees still hurting you? I know you said you were scheduled for an operation but I can't remember when it is. Please refresh my mind. Keep us posted on how things go with the operation.

Anjay Merry Christmas back at you. How are you doing? How are things going? I have caught up on your post and pray that all continues to go well. How are Wayne and Janos doing? Have they reconciled yet? Let us know how we can help you.

Elsie how very true. God is ALWAYS with us even when we sort of push Him to the side. Yet He loves us so much that even when we do this, He will come to be right there beside us when we ask. How blessed are we. You are so right about setting goals as opposed to resolutions. So glad you got a white Christmas. Ours was green or should I say brown since the grass is all dead. Now we are getting the snow. Oh well, the skiers will be happy. Do you enjoy snow as in do you ski, or snowmobile, or skate or any other wintry activity?

Julie so glad you got your white Christmas also. As I asked Elsie, do you enjoy snow as in do you ski, or snowmobile, or skate or any other wintry activity?

Ali glad your Christmas day was restful. How are things going church wise for you? Are you still looking for a new place of worship? Did you manage to get your laundry done and all caught up on your exchanges?

Linny good for you to get right back on track and not put it off. How is the house coming along? You must be getting excited. I remember reading that you are not yet in it. Is there a date by which you will be in it?

Valerieblue emoticon to the team. We are quite supportive and encouraging of each other. Once a week, Julie post our prayer requests so if you have any don't hesitate to send them to her. We also post them during the week, if something comes up. We truly pray for, support and encourage each other in our successes, difficulties, troubles etc. Keep us posted on how you are doing and how we can help you.

Daddy's girl how was your Christmas? Do you usually have all the children home with you? Do you have any special plans for when you are all together in the New Year? I am sure that you will have a very enjoyable time with them. Do you have much left to do on the afghan?

Laura, Melody, Born, Cook, Sheila, and all the others praying that you are all okay and that you had a very blessed Christmas. Let us know how you are all doing.

Well time to get off and get ready for bed. Have a blessed and peaceful night's rest.
emoticon Joanne

Mary's Song
My soul doth magnify
And glory in the Lord
His lowly handmaiden
He has chosen over all
My spirit doth rejoice
Over God my saviour
For He has truly blessed me
And shown great favour...

Blessed and exalted
Is the fruit of her womb
The promise from ages past
Was coming very soon
I wonder if Mary
The servant of the Lord
Understood with depth
The magnitude of her call

The son she brought forth
Called Holy and righteous
Blessed Prince of Peace
Forever there to guide us
Did she know that Jesus
Is the name above all names?
That no one else can save us
And take away our shame

Did Mary know His future
And who He really was?
Did she know the price He'd pay
Upon the blood-stained cross?
Oh a mother's heart must ache
To see her first born son
Hanging from a wooden cross
Rejected by everyone

Did she know that He would rise
And walk among them again?
To eat and drink and share with them
Until He would ascend
He left with us His Holy Spirit
Forever to dwell inside
I wonder if Mary ever knew
The significance of His life

Evening,

We have had a nice restful day which we all seem to need. I say all of us, but dh had to go to work yesterday afternoon late. Loved just doing whatever.

Tomorrow I have to get it together, clean, get things back together and do some laundry. Luckily we have enough left overs that cooking is not on the agenda. I do have to go shopping and do some exchanges.

Valerie, welcome to the team! emoticon

Joanne, so good to hear from you! Thanks for sharing.

Blessings,
Ali emoticon emoticon
