I a pleased with my progress overall. I have been scrimping on exercise (skipped yoga this morning) and my body is complaining. I have to do it even when I don't feel like it - self-discipline will ensure continued progress. Winter is on the doorstep and I am tempted to hibernate.

Got up and did my 10 minutes of yoga this morning before work.
Had a new instructor Weds night, thinking of maybe going in to town also instead of just here on post for a class or two.
Vinyasa Yoga is what we are doing it was a very slow gentle style at first but this instructor is still doing the flow but it is more power and I am really loving it between that, sauna two to three times a week for 10-30 mins and walking on treadmill 2 to 3 times a week I am really feeling good!

As for yoga specifically, I find that - for me with my ultimate beginner status in yoga - I need to follow yoga videos that go slow and explain each pose to a tee. I can not keep up with the fluent (move from one pose into the next and the next without interruption) videos like on grokker.com

Actually, I am starting to feel pretty good.
I lost 7 lbs over the past 2-1/2 weeks, and it is not just water weight since I have been struggling at losing weight for the past 3 years with very little success until now.
I eat with a mini fork or spoon (so I eat slooooooower)
I work out in short 10 min spurts, but my body is starting to ache less and less.
Sparkpeople keeps telling me I do not eat enough (under 1000 cal / day spread over 6 or 7 meals/snacks) but it works for me. I have doctor prescribed hunger suppressants (for 6 months max) to maximise weight loss and get in the habit of small regular meals. I need to lose a total of 100 lbs + in total ... eventually!

This is only day 2 and I actually feel pretty good. Pain level is going down, not up like with regular exercise.

emoticon I feel great. I'm really starting to do good with several of the poses. It helps me start my day right. If I miss it for some reason I seam to be sore later in the day. I hope you all are doing good with your yoga.

I hope you are doing good in your weight lose goals and your fitness goals.

I am feeling fairly good about my progress. Just wondering, does downward dog ever get easier? Also would getting a yoga mat help?

How I'm feeling about your progress? I have done good this year and yoga has helped be so much and I am looking forward to the new year 2014. If any of you haven't try yoga please check out the threads and even look up on-line for yoga, it will help with in many ways.

"MCDIDDLYD" Update:

Hi team, sorry I have been away for so long. First my daughter from Washington D.C. came down to Georgia to my house for a visit. Well, she got so sick and in so much pain. Long story short she had to have surgery she had gall stones. I had to look after her for a month.

Then we had a dear friend to pass away. After that one of my husbands friend from Tennessee came down to visit for a few days.

Then while all this was going on, you know I was in so much pain. I had to go to the doctor with my back and neck. They put a shot in my neck and then they put one in my low back with an x-ray. I have been feeling like I was just going to die at times. All they do is keep upping my pain med, but I do understand that is all they can do for me. For those of you that don't know about my health problems just go to my home page and you can read about me there. Also my knee that I had surgery on months ago didn't help one little bit I'm still in pain with it. I'm so sorry for being gone so long, I have missed all of you so much. I'm still in a lot of pain everyday so I will get on-line as much as I can. I know it want be everyday like I use too. Please know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please I beg you to keep me in yours, for I don't know how much more I can take with this pain.

emoticon We had a death in my family, my cousin. He was only 51 years old and they don't know what happen to him. His wife found him in his bathroom floor that morning.

Also I have been in so much pain till I was at the point of no return. I just wanted to die for a whole week but thank God for my sister talking to me everyday. I would not be here now if it wasn't for her. I go to see my pain doctor tomorrow and I hope he can do something to help with all this pain I have been in with my back and knee. So please keep me in your prayers. I know I ask this of you all the time but I am in so much of need. Thank you and God bless each and everyone of you!
