Hi there! Great question... and I hope many more will chime in!
This is what I'm doing for the month of February:
= I own about 7 Leslie Sansone exercise dvds, but have gotten stuck doing just one of them. So... I promised myself that I'd get every single one of those dvds accomplished during the month of February. Last night I did two miles of a 4-mile dvd. Tonight I finished up the remaining 2 miles. Now I'll go on to the others until I get each one done. There's no pressure on time other than to be done by the end of this month.
= Also, I own just w-a-a-y too many exercise dvds and have found that I'm not doing them. (But I -do- go to exercise classes outside my home.) So... for the month of February, I promised myself that I would play one dvd through. NOTE: I do NOT have to do it; I just have to play it and be in the room while it's playing. My hope is that I'll fall back in love with some of these fitness dvds and start doing them again! (or at least glean a few new exercises from them!)
I like that you've chosen to walk 1,000 steps before each meal! That's something new to me and I may incorporate it at some point!
