So many good ideas. I will have to start using some of them. Thanks for helping. I love it when people band together and give people ideas that maybe someone else can use. Keep them coming and we will all profit by them.

DUring the day if I am sitting at my computer, I set the timer for 20 minutes. WHen it goes off, I get up walk around the house and climb a flight of stairs or two. Then set the timer again.

Great suggestion about the dvd...I am going to do one video a day with spark...I am doing the kickboxing one today. I walk the 1000 steps before each meal because I feel like I accomplished something. I hope it also revs up my metabolism to burn more food,

Paula if I don't keep moving during the day, I feel bogged down and by mid afternoon, I just want to sit and watch t.v. So now I do the computer exercises and challenges, post on my teams and just try to learn during the day and watch some t.v. at night.

I put off sometimes and if I don't get it done early then I sometimes revert back to no no's.
Anyway thank you all for the suggestions. I think it helps to learn from each other, new ways of doing. Don't get in that slump but keep moving. After I finish posting...it is off to the kickboxing then walking my 1000 before lunch.

After I drop off my daughter at school in the morning, I get out of the car and walk for 30 minutes. I also just discovered that I enjoy Dance on Broadway with the Wii. Wii Fit has been a great tool for me.

Good question! Even though I am usually pretty good at getting my fitness minutes in, occasionally I will go through slumps where I just don't feel the eagerness to get up and MOVE IT!

Sometimes its a mind-game where I'm telling myself that I'll just do 10 minutes of something and then I can quit. Sometimes I'll make a "date" with my buddy that I have to show up for or else let my buddy down. Sometimes it just involves trying something new....like the aqua zumba class that just started at our Y.

Susy.....I like the idea of playing one of your unused DVDs and just lookeing at it while it's playing in the room. I have a few like that. Some of them I've placed in the "dread" category sometime in the past, and maybe I might get something out of them now I missed before.

Hi there! Great question... and I hope many more will chime in!

This is what I'm doing for the month of February:

= I own about 7 Leslie Sansone exercise dvds, but have gotten stuck doing just one of them. So... I promised myself that I'd get every single one of those dvds accomplished during the month of February. Last night I did two miles of a 4-mile dvd. Tonight I finished up the remaining 2 miles. Now I'll go on to the others until I get each one done. There's no pressure on time other than to be done by the end of this month.

= Also, I own just w-a-a-y too many exercise dvds and have found that I'm not doing them. (But I -do- go to exercise classes outside my home.) So... for the month of February, I promised myself that I would play one dvd through. NOTE: I do NOT have to do it; I just have to play it and be in the room while it's playing. My hope is that I'll fall back in love with some of these fitness dvds and start doing them again! (or at least glean a few new exercises from them!)

I like that you've chosen to walk 1,000 steps before each meal! That's something new to me and I may incorporate it at some point!

~Susy~

How do you challenge yourself to get moving. I am really trying to get moving more but also have fun doing it. What do you do to have fun and make it count toward movement? I am really interested in new ideas.
I have been walking 1000 steps before each meal and I think it is giving me more energy. I feel better knowing that I am doing something to get back to good health. It only takes a few minutes and our bodies thank us for it.

How do you do It? Thanks for listening.
