Have your DR check it and see if its an advanced stage of athletes foot. My grandma is a nurse and had told me a story about someone that had the same thing, and thats what the diagnosis was. Maybe the increased intensity has doe it. Who knows. But I woul dhave it looked at. Until then, if they are bothering you to walk and stuff, use moleskin bandaging. You can cut it to the right size, and it will help cushion it until it heals. Good luck, I hope its just something simple that will clear up easily.

Have you ever ahd it looked at by a dooctor? I've never seen anyone get blisters from being barefoot. Not that's not possible but it might be something else causing them. Always worth it to get them checked just in case. OUCH!

oh, yeah... the are most definately blisters. I get blisters on the balls of my feet generally if I get blisters anywhere. a bit gross, but, I had the biggest one of them tear yesterday and I now have fresh tender skin the size of a dollar bill folded in half on the ball of my foot. Today, we will be taking it easy on the exercise while that skin gets used to the air and toughens up a bit. I am just struggling through and hope that the skin gets toughened up again soon!

Are you sure they are blisters from working out? One time I had 'contact dermatitis' on the palms of my hand (and in between my fingers)... it looked like clusters of small blisters. You described them as a batch and in spots I normally wouldn't expect blisters. Especially since you were working out barefoot, you may want to check with your Dr to be sure.

Wow, I wonder if you are getting carpet blisters! Weird. I haven't heard of that before. If I find any info on preventing those while barefoot, I'll send it along!

Prevention:
Good shoes that don't rub
Good socks to prevent rubbing
Moleskin to cover areas that get blisters often (hot spots)
Blister Block to rub on hot spots

Blister Care:
-Rubbing lavender oil on a blister a few times will decrease the fluid without having to break the skin
-Keep the area clean, put a bandage on to protect it
-If you have to break the skin to release the pressure, use a clean pin or needle and make sure to bandage it properly.

I would say make sure you have good shoes - Definitely get profesionally fitted for them. Also, no cotton socks! The combo of sweat and cotton gives you the blisters. Look for synthetic wicking material that gets all that sweat AWAY from you feet.

Blisters are usually caused by rubbing and pressure. Even though you think you have good shoes they may not be good for you. I would say try a different pair and you might have to lay off the Wii if that is causing too much rubbing. There are some blister band aides that canhelp with the pain in the mean time.

Hey all, I am looking for some advice on dealing with blisters. Bizarrely, I have suddenly developed a whole batch of blisters on my toes and ball of my foot. I have kicked up the intensity of my workouts, but not really the activities. I tend to do most of my cardio in bare feet or since the blisters, socks, since I use the wii a lot. But, I also started getting them on the elliptical, when I do wear a good pair of cross trainers. Any thoughts? Prevention ideas? I am open!!! Because it is getting a little tedious to be wincing throughout my workouts!
