Do you have a pair of pants to replace them? If they still fit and they aren't too baggy then I'd keep them. But if you can pull them down without unbuttoning, zipping or anything else and you don't have to wiggle to get out of them then I'd probably ditch them. Or at the very least, until you can get a pair to replace them, keep them for emergencies.

I was told all those same things, your pretty but just a little chunky? All the things like they said to you. But about the clothes, I'm not sure about throwing them away. I just had to buy new clothes because of my weight. I couldn't fit any of my other clothes any longer. I had to buy 22's and 24's. I sure hated to do it, but I couldn't squeeze into anything else. Not even my favorite jeans. I don't plan on getting any bigger. This is the stop point. I refuse to buy any other bigger clothes. So I would save the clothes you have in case of emergencies??? I don't know really???? I really don't. Sorry later from Debrinconcita in Portland, Oregon.emoticonemoticonemoticon

Toss them! I had one pair that my secretary banned me from wearing to the office again because they sagged so bad in the back - they are now gone to Goodwill!

I would only keep them if you need a pair for something yucky, like scrubbing the garage floor or cleaning out the gutters. If they don't look good or feel good, you don't need to keep them (unless you don't have any others or $ to buy more).

As you lose weight it is important to FEEL your best by LOOKING your best. Even "around the house" clothes should make you feel & look GOOD!!! My advice is to NEVER keep clothes that are too big for you - they defeat the purpose of clothing which is to compliment our figures to make us feel better!!
Muuaah - congrats on losing!!!emoticon

I love the picture idea.

If they are still good give them to goodwill, trift store, or one of the clothing exchange teams here on spark.

I kept my biggest favorite outfit to remind me how far I've come.

I have a pair of pants that fit like that, and they've become my around the house pants. They are really comfy to sit on the couch with, but I refuse to wear them in public.

Since you only have a few pairs of pants right now, why not take them to a tailor so that they fit you properly? When you have lost enough weight to get you into the 14/16s you can go to your larger pants and say "I'm SO DONE with you!". And, unless they are way past their prime, give them to a charity because sometimes it's harder getting the larger sizes.

The Phoenix is the symbol of hope and rebirth. Often alluded to as the Bird of Paradise, this mythical bird was the only one of it's kind. And because of this, the gods vowed that as long as The Phoenix lives, there is hope for mankind.

give them to someone else that is that size or Goodwill or a thrift store. That way they aren't going to waste.

Take a picture of yourself in them, or have someone else take the picture. See if they look good on you, or if they look droopy or like you have weird reservoirs of body going on. If they look good, keep them, and if they don't reflect you looking your best...chuck em!

Okay gals and guys... I wanted to know when you get rid of clothes that fit, but are big... I have a pair of pants (22W). They fit in the waist, big but not fall off big, I can put them on and off without having to unbutton or unzip them...

This is the biggest pair of pants I own. I feel that I should get rid of them... but then again, they still fit... I can fit into certain 18W and I dont have a huge selection of pants to chose from... I hated buying bigger clothes, so I only really have about 4 pairs of pants right now that fit... Once I start getting to 14/16 I have tons of clothes...

What do you think? Would you Trash or Keep???
