That trail mix actually is called GORP and it stands for "good old raisins and peanuts" - we learned that in Girl Scouts when I was a kid.
I love Fiber One cereal bars - all that fiber (9 grams!) in only 130-140 calories :-) I'm waiting on my bloodwork to confirm celiac disease and if I have to give up my granola bars I will be a very sad girl!
Just because you ate it in secret doesn't mean no one knows. . .
I like to get the pre chopped and mixed fruit salads and veggie sticks from the grocery store when I'm on the run. Sure, it's more expensive than buying whole fruits, but you get more of a variety and it's convenient.
I like mini cheddar rice cakes jello fat free sugar free pudding cups special k strawberry cereal bars small bags of turkey jerky smart ones chocolate devil's food... cake? cookie? I dont know what they call themselves. 100 calorie packs of TONS of different stuff. skinny cow ice cream stuff for desserts laughing cow cheeses slim fast optima chocolate royale shakes (filling!) yogurt (check the sugar content and shop around!)
If there were no rain, there could be no rainbows!
I cant really do sweet snacks or even chippy snacks in cute little bags lol. For some reason it just leaves me wanting more. I do however buy those quaker quakes rice cakes in the bags. Also I have nut issues (I keep on keeping on) so now they have 100 cal packs. Thats so great. I only bring one to work. I will buy a thing of hummus and some flat bread or pita or things like that. I do better if I am going to snack to make it a mini meal- some protein, carb, etc instead of just a sweet thing so I try things like that.
Why do you choose failure, when Success is an option
You Don't have to be Great to Start But you have to Start to be Great!
The failure isn't in falling down but in not getting back up!

Wasabi peas or soy beans if you crave spicy things like I do! Frozen grapes are good. Rice Crispie Bars are 90 cals I think. Any of the Skinny Cow frozen products are great. Little cups of fruit or apple sauce. Individually packaged string cheese.

I forgot to mention Jello Fat Free Pudding Snacks, only 60 calories. I like the chocolate mint, but all the flavors are good. If you put a dollop of coolwhip free on one, it only adds about 10 calories. Yummy!
I love 100 calorie packs. My favorite snack is Hostess' banana strudel muffins-- they are little bites of heaven-- and only 100 cal per pack!
Also, I am a cheese lover. Have you tried Laughing Cow Cheese Bites. They are only 7 calories each. I put one on a Baked Pepperidge Farm Cracker and I can have 3 for about 50 calories. They are yummy!
For breakfast, I make my own egg Mc Muffins. Thomas' makes a wonderful low fat whole wheat english muffin. I put an egg white, slice of ham and fat free Kraft American cheese on it, and it's very low in calories.
I also like Otter Pops for summer. Low, low calories-- but very refreshing.
Have fun experimenting with new snacks. You don't have to give up your love for food just because you are losing weight. --Lisa
