Just thought I'd mention this great website and mobile phone app.
It provides free plans and guided real-time workouts for all manner of sports and all levels of ability.
It also has the option of doing a "free workout" which enables you to walk at your own pace with regular updates (you can set how regular these are) on your progress including distance, speed and caloric burn. It even charts and stores your routes for you on the website. Obviously a mobile internet connection is required. When your workout is complete your mobile phone syncs with the website so the next time you log on you can access all your info right away; it gives lots of useful information such as the elevation changes on the route.
