I wear a pedometer all day and use all steps! My wife and I used to walk everyday, but she has been getting progressively sicker since September and coupled with the colder weather I'm not getting a lot of miles now.

That is amazing. Are you doing your walking outside or on a treadmill?

I LOVE to walk outside, and as long as its not raining (hard) and its

above 35 degrees I will walk outside.

Not sure... It depends on what routes we take. I know we are going to turn north soon and head for the Great Wall of China and follow that for a while. Probably 2 or 3 more years, at least.

That is so cool! I wanted to do one from my home to Sendai, Japan as

that is my Citys sister City, but it wouldn't give me the miles.

When do you expect your walk to end?

My first one was from my home in southern Illinois to Key West Florida, 1486.84 miles in 418 days. Right now I'm walking around the world with 2 other people. We started on the east coast of the U.S. and are almost to Papua New Guinea; Day944 - Mar19 - 4mi - Total miles 10278.36

WOW, now that's some miles. I just thought I would start with

the first place that came to my mind. Once I reach the Grand Canyon

I will go to Colorado. Its the trip home once I have reached all

my places that will be the long road, lol...

Oh my, only 400 miles. LOL! I got the idea to hike the AT... almost 2000 miles. Now THAT will keep me going for a while! Actually just the idea of walking someplace specific is fun.

What you need to do is look on a map and see where you are - then Gooogle it & find out about the location. Absolutely fascinating to read the details of the area you are walking.

What a wonderful idea. Thankfully I LOVE to walk, but you are right,

when your goal is over 400 miles, and you only take a few off at a

time, it seems to take forever to go down.

I use Google maps and get directions from one place and to another the miles will be just under the from/to box on the left. Here is a link. maps.google.com/
