Good walk and good map! Have you been looking at pictures along the way? I really like this picture from where you were on the 8th:

I've made it 29 miles down the parkway! I've mapped out where I've been, I'm in Montebello now

Heather - sounds like a great walk.
Back years ago when I was in graduate school, the only way we could vacation was to do so in ways that saved money. So we camped our way along the Blue Ridge Parkway when we could. It was affordable and beautiful! And we hiked to waterfalls when we found trails to them.

Well, now I am envious! I am in the process of finding more places to walk myself, but my choices are very DIFFERENT from yours!
Tonight we had alot of RAIN here on the East of Tucson from our Monsoons....which means WATER in the washes. So I am probably going to head EAST in the morning, for my walk, seeking some of that!
Good luck on your walks too!

I've really enjoyed this group and everyone has had such great routes. I love the Blue Ridge Parkway especially around the NC/VA border, so I'm going to take my time and explore. It's 491 miles start to finish and I may take some time to do the side trails, especially if there is a waterfall involved! I figure this will take me anywhere from 5-7 months depending on how adventurous I get!
