Hi! Have you tried tempeh? I tend not to like tofu at all (probably because I don't know how to prepare it right- it's too squishy) and I don't like meat substitutes. But I tried tempeh recently and it was pretty good! It's a fermented soy product too, but much different than tofu. It's definitely worth a try!!!
read my blog regarding tofu. I have eaten tofu for years. With all the controversy lately I have decided to only go with fermented soy products. Better safe than sorry later. I supplement with high protein in other areas. Black beans, other beans, Quinoa, flax seed.
I recently stopped eating meat (very recently, like last week). I already enjoyed tofu, but I'm having issues making it interesting. Seitan isn't an option due to issues with wheat (celiac's disease), as well as a significant portion of the fake meats.
