I thought about using it because I saw it a few times. Is it a cardio training or a strength training?

This week I have started riding my bike again. Along with that I go in and lift with the high schools football team, even though I have graduated.

I'm doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I love her energy and motivation. I'm only on level one but I'm so pumped for next week's level! I will do some ab work too.

I'm going to the rec to spend 35 minutes on the elliptical (with an added 2 minute cool-down) 4x this week.
Also walking to campus, about 30 minutes, 5x a week
As well as 2 days of 20-minute strength training exercises.

I'm training for a half marathon so I'm going to run 3x this week, and normally when at school I go swimming/take a spin class/ or yoga the days I don't go running but instead I will probably take my dog on a hike.

It takes
4 weeks for you to notice your body changing,
8 weeks for you friends to notice, and
12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice.
Give it 12 weeks. Don't quit!

I've recently joined my schools group fitness at the gym. It's $50/semester and you can do 1 class/day, which is a great deal! Yesterday was yoga and today is fatburn. I'll probably do weights after, focusing on my legs and arms.

My friend downloaded p-90x and I did it today with my sister. It's not as hard as it seems, but it is still an intense workout. I loved the karate called kempo. Very high cardio and tones the body :)

I got to the gym 3 times a week to do my strength training and I usually walk the treadmill on an incline at a good pace or the elliptical or the stationary bike (I love this one!). Every other day I try to work in a 30-40 minute walk or get on the stationary bike in my basement for 30 minutes. It's great!

Running truly is what works best. It's the fastest way to lose, but also the way that has the most benefits for your health (heart, etc.). I used to run like a gazelle.
Recently, I've gotten back into it: I jog on week days, 7AM, before work. However, I feel like I need to step it up a bit, like accelerate my rythm (I run for approx. 2-2.5 miles. When I get back home from the jog, I do 20 mn of strenght training three days out of five.
On week ends, I bust my ass at the gym: treadmill, elliptical, bike + strenght training for abs and legs (currently my weakest points, but I slide in upper body workouts during the week).
I don't know if all of this is working though. Feel like I have a crappy metabolism... or maybe I just need to be patient.

I want to run but I'm easily winded so right now I'm keeping my work outs to a easy walk/jog. I try to do that everyday. Then three to four days a week I'll do some sort of fitness video or an assortment of strength training activities. I try to focus on my trouble spots: namely my abs and legs. In a few weeks I'm getting a bike and plan to add biking into my daily workouts.

When I'm at school, I try to hit the gym on a daily basis and follow it with some sort of strength training. I must admit, my walking/running routine has been much more effective because I've been doing it with my mom and sister who have encouraged me on days when I feel like slacking off.

I love to run. I'm on my colleges cross country and track teams, so right now I'm running every other day. I try to do some strength training on the days when I run (core work, some push ups, etc). On days when I don't run I try to find some other kind of cardio to do unless it's my off day (once a week!). Right now I'm really into swimming laps at the YMCA, but I also like the elliptical or going on hikes. Also, stretching after all my workouts or some yoga is always fun.

I get bored incredibly easily so I try and change it up every few days:

One day I'll run inside, outside, on the track, on the roads, or on the treadmill anywhere from 1.5-2.5 miles

The next day I'll bike inside or outside about 6-9 miles

Then I rest a day (two days on, one day off works for me!)

I'll lift weights, and spend time on the rowing-simulator machine and the stationary bike

Anything to keep it different! emoticon

This week I'll be waking up at 6:30 or 6:15am to go on the elliptical for 30 minutes, with about 10 minutes of ab/triceps work afterwards. In the afternoons or evenings, I go to classes at the rec center (I have a "Fit Pass"). Cycling is my favorite, but I also like the yoga.

I've been going to the gym 4-5 days a week doing ab strength training for 10-15 minutes then getting on a crossramp (like an eliptical but the arms don't move) for 35 to 45 minutes. It seems to be working so far!

I try to use the treadmill some days, the elliptical on others and then the stationary bike on days when I am bored with the other two machines.

I go to the YMCA three times a week. On Tuesdays there is a great cardio circut workout. I usually watch a show while I cycle or play basketball to keep things interesting on the other days.

The last few weeks I have been hitting up the campus gym about 3 times a week. I always use the elliptical but am afraid I will get bored so I also do work out videos to keep things interesting. What do you guys do to keep you motivated with your work outs and add some variety?
I would like to hear from everyone!
