I don't know about a price increase.....because my pharmacy has been unable to get a hold of injectible MTX solution. I've been forced therefore to take pills and they do not help me at all. Does anyone else have trouble getting it? Or is my pharmacy just jerking me around?
I'm on my phone, away from my puter. You would be suurprised how much difference there is re the price of meds with different pharmacies There is even a difference between pharmacies of the same name. PM me so I don't forget. i'll find the link (s) where you can compare the prices of different pharmacies. In the meantime call around and make a notation of what pharmacies, prices and phone numbers you have completed. In addition you may be able to apply for pharmacy discount cards that you are not familiar with. You can also contact the manufacturer and find out if you qualify for free or discounted medicine. There are msny different programs out there.
Don't give up hope, not yet anyway. :)

I agree with Kris. Lots of Insurance starts over at the new year. I'm not aware of a price increase. Hopefully you'll get your answer soon. Did you ask the pharmacy? sometimes my pharmacy doesn't even file the insurance and I have to ask to find out. Good Luck.

Wow - I'm so sorry! I take other meds, but any price increase always hurts the monthly budget.
There could be any number of reasons why the price went up. My suggestion is to call the pharmacy that fills your prescription and ask. Most likely, either your insurance changed January 1, or the pharmacy's cost increased and it has been passed on to customers.
Good luck -
