Woohoo for you ! Actually I didn't use any Tylenol yesterday. I did some weight training and did some of the exercises I found on SparkPeople and today there isn't any pain in my knee at all. So I think I will keep up with that. It is already helping after one day, plus I've been doing some cardio too.
My doctor hasn't suggested surgery because she wants me to exercise and lose more weight and see if that helps. She knows it isn't going to happen overnight and my boyfriend has had knee surgery, though for other reasons and he told me don't do it if you can avoid it because his knees are worse now then prior to surgery. He basically had to have it because of a skiing accident but now he's got the same arthritic condtion too only it's in both knees for him, though it is starting in my left one now so I know I need to lose weight. I don't want to use surgery as a quick fix, though it might be needed if it doesn't get beter once I'm down 100 pounds but that is 100 pounds from now we'll see.
Good news I don't have torn cartilage after all. I have a bone spur on my knee from that fall back in 2007 and that's what is now causing minor arthritic pains in my leg so it's not the worst. It ain't great news but it's better to know I can diet and exercise and lose weight and it will help. My blood pressure is down to 110/80 woohooo!!!
