I told you you were going to new shoes Bonny! They make beach bikes with tires that don't wear out so quickly in the sand, maybe they need to make beach walkers. I'm sorry, tried to make it better, looks like you'll have nice weather for the drive back though.

Everyone have a good one today!

Thanks for your help, Kelly. It really didn't work here today and now it's raining. Oh, well. Home soon - hope you have some sun there.

Toni, I checked out my privacy settings and loosened them (as far as I know). Maybe you can send me a request. If this doesn't work, I'll have to ask my son for help when I get home.

A little bit of walking today (shopping for shoes - just about wore mine out). Ate way too much tonight!

Best to all!

Gloria, hope you got some great zzzz's in last night, ditto what Toni said!

Donelson's farmers market opens again early May, they have 81 vendors to kick it off this time so it'll be interesting what they offer. I think it's Springfield that does a huge Strawberry Festival mid May or so, the past few years been out of town so missed it but I hear it is a lot of fun. (I'll miss it again this year)

Do we send the Shore Patrol out for Dawn and Camille and a few others that are AWOL?

Meanwhile enjoy the day...

Yoo-hoo! Good morning everyone!

Gloria - just remember that very soon you will be on the other side of this hectic time. Life will be much easier for you. Make those words a mantra and repeat it in your head as needed. :) I'm glad your strawberries made it through the cold!

Bonny - I did some digging around and I think your Facebook Privacy settings are set so that there is no "add a friend" button on your home page. Thanks for the email photos - they are stunning!

I am making steady progress on my boxes...two more today! See ya later...

Sun was nice today! Got some eggs from the farm where we do the hybrid CSA in Gallatin and they told me that they covered their strawberries last night and the berries survived. They will cover them tonight too as we might get frost. So happy to have some farm fresh eggs this week! They are raising chickens to eat too, their feed is GMO free and the birds are allowed to run around outside freely. I agree, the Omron pedometers are far superior to the less expensive ones. I have an Omron, it was around $24 but it is accurate for sure! Now I have my FitBit which I am so addicted too. No studying tonight, I am beyond exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open, have a headache and I hurt all over, I am sure it is because of not enough sleep, should feel better in the morning.

Bought a $4 pedometer on Sunday. Threw it out! Just got back getting a Omron... ouch 9x as much but if it actually works it will be worth it. Next step, log just my work steps house hold steps and then set incremental increases!

Well Bonny, I tried so hard that that big yellow orb came out today and warmed things nicely, hope I can convince it to do it again for you.

That's all the news that's fit to print from here, have a great one!

Will do our best to have it warmer here Bonny, at least right now it is drying out.

Long day Gloria, between the job and weather I am sure you will be really happy to kick April to the curb!

Nothing new or exciting around here, have a good one all!

Gloria, convince your hubby to head to the beach. It does wonders for your attitude.

Kelly, a few of my 'friends' make 'tacky' remarks when I post on FB and have a beach picture when they are at home in BNA. Because they make these comments, I just post them to get their attention. Anyway, I think they're friends............lol

It's been cooler here, but I doubt it's as nippy as you guys are! Warm it up - we're on our way back on Saturday.

Best to all!

Late night at the office, just getting home at 8:00 p.m. but I did manage to squeeze some exercise in today, quite a bit actually. What about this cold weather, huh? Felt more like January instead of mid-Aprl! I think our pool is going to be open tomorrow, lot of good that is going to do me with this cold climate!

I'm sure there are some out there celebrating Passover, may you have a beautiful Holiday.

Ack, turn up the furnace! And turn off the faucet! Speaking of faucets, someone in one of the neighborhood groups put up something really odd, she heard water running outside. Went out, the hose had been disconnected and water was running! They are all okay but unnerved, criminals have been known to do that to get you outside so they can get in easier.

Gloria, all I can offer are hugs and encouragement to get you through this mess at work. I'd say you more than earned a few days at the shore!

Everyone be safe out there, have a good one inspite of the weather.

Toni, awesome at getting those boxes unpacked, we have been in this house for four years and I still have boxes in my bonus room. I am constantly looking for something so have to go up there and dig around for it. One day I will have everything unpacked and organized.

Kelly, so awesome for your son and the Ironman thing. To be able to do that in the required time is quite impressive.

Bonny, of course we tease you (and are perhaps just a bit envious) but I am glad that you can go down there and have a great time. I am going to try to convince DH to go down this year for some beach time.

It was raining and windy this morning but not too bad driving in to work. The enormity of how much I have to accomplish at work this week and next really hit me today. Just not sure how it can be done, but I have not got a lot of choice if I want to keep my job! Probably should have stayed late but left on time in order to get home for a jog before the rain came in. Okay weather, what is up with you? Seriously? A possible freeze tomorrow night? I have my winter clothes laid out for the next two days. I kept telling my husband about it and he apparently thought I was joking. Not. I hope it doesn't wreck the strawberries...I am anxiously waiting the strawberries from the farm where we get stuff.

Toni, you are hilarious!!!

The Blue Star Moms have a virtual cocoa klatch at 3 most afternoons, many times with a little sumpin' sumpin added to it. I'd say you deserve a break about now. I'll be doing the little sumpin later, have a meeting to go to.

Bonny, really? Someone complaining about your beach walks??? It ain't bragging if you did it! Come by and brag all you want, we may tease you a bit hope you know it's all in fun. Have a safe trip back. Just in time to empty the Easter basket.

Stay dry everyone! Stay warm too!

Hope your weather hasn't been as bad as I've heard people comment on as I looked at FB, It's pretty here, but it has clouded up quite a bit. Got in a 4.3 mile walk to the beach but I hurried back because of darkening skies.

Looks like we'll be home Saturday. Then, everybody can tell me how much they dislike my beach walks and my bragging about them. I really mean no harm. lol

Have a good day, team.

Kelly, forget the meds! Mother Nature is highly irregular. This calls for an enema! LOL!

What a guy your son is - an Ironman! Woohoo for him!

I am ripping apart my house, trying to unpack the last of the boxes. Been at it since 9 - I think a time out is in order! Later......

Someone please lend mother nature some meds. I think the wet stuff will be back tonight but the temps are going low even during the day starting tomorrow. Brain fog this morning, I just saw the weather service update don't remember it all. Our son did an Ironman in Florida (Panama City area) yesterday, really nice weather but they are in for a wild ride today. He did fine, long ride back to Jacksonville and is now on a business trip up to Ohio at the moment. I know I wouldn't be upright.

Hope everyone had a great week-end and was able to get out and enjoy the sunshine and the wind.

Wondering what the weather is going to do, I suspect the morning commute might be rough. It is windy out there for sure! DH and I went for a walk this evening, pretty nice out even with the strong winds. Be careful everyone!

That storm that blew thru here Friday although short lived was something else. Think we're supposed to get some ugly stuff tonight and cold temps during the week. Typical April I guess. Man the roads were busy yesterday with the nice weather, as were all the nursery's so everyone had the same idea.

Come by often WRDBRN, like Gloria said just take it slowly. I hear you about asthma - mine is outta control lately.

Well everyone, have a fab Sunday!

Welcome back WRDBRN! Spring is definitely a good time to start back up. Just take it slowly and hopefully the asthma won't rear it's ugly head. I have a touch of it but it's usually under control.

Sure is a great day out! We stopped by Lowe's for a couple of things and they were BUSY! My hubby won't plant anything for another week or so - it is supposed to get really cold early next week. I figure after we get past that point we should see nice weather from here on out.

Nice day here, I think our sunshine lasted until around 5:00 or so! Had some storms and rain after that. Stayed at work about an hour and a half late, then traffic was a nightmare, took about an hour and 15 minutes to get home. Had hoped for a jog in the neighborhood but not with the weather like this. I am already starting to get organized for next week....it is going to be crazy busy at work and I am afraid I am not going to have much study time - so I want to really stay on top of things. I hope that the osmosis works QT, I will sleep on my study material at night and see if the stuff sinks in because right now I am NOT retaining this info at all! With all this talk about massages, I think that regardless of whether or not I pass my exam I will go get a massage after it is all said and done! Supposed to be pretty warm this weekend, everyone enjoy!

Toni, unless that name is the one you signed up with on FB, it doesn't work. When I did a search, it began doing an internet search. Don't know what to do - my friends have gotten there somehow. I don't know why you can't ask me to be your 'friend.' I don't know what you 'liked' or how old the pics were. If you can give me more of a clue, I'll see if you're there.

Did another 5 miles today and will probably eat wrong in a few hours. I'm trying, though.

Best to everyone.

Hello Everyone! Where did the sunshine go? Boo-hoo!

QT - that massage sounds wonderful. I carry my stress right under my left rhomboid - that spot just under my shoulder blade. I figured out a way release that - I drop my head as forward as I can and go back and forth slowly until I find the spot and then hold and release a few times.

I HATE BALLS TOO! Really. hate. them. :)

I didn't find much of anything - I may go back to snag a small wicker framed mirror for the guest bedroom. The Wedgwood sounds nice, Kelly!

Bonnie - I can get to your FB page, it doesn't give me an opportunity to request you as a friend. I did "like" a few of your old posts, so maybe you will see me. Add my maiden name - Moisiewicz to the Toni Dixon and see if that helps. From Hamburg, NY.

Gloria - Hang in there :)

There is a place off of Charlotte Pike (well Orlando Dr) called Basic Kneads. It's supposed to be the best massage place, although I feel like every spa place says that! Ha! My husband gave me a gift certificate for Valentine's Day. Last weekend I went for a massage and it was amazing! I have alot of shoulder/neck pain and the lady really helped with that. I would recommend that- since you were mentioning Center of Symmetry. Although I know you were mentioning their cafe ;)

Toni, what did you find on your excursion? Any of you who are into Wedgewood, a little shop here is thinking of bringing some in, I'll let you know if he decides to do it. This shop carries a hilarious line of cards done by a local gal and I'm in there all the time, I manage to control myself but this time I caved, bought a small piece of green Wedgewood.

Gosh wasn't it nice and breezy yesterday, almost felt like living on the coast. You keep walking like that Bonnie and you'll need new shoes.

Wow Gloria, that's some work out! I forgot they were cleaning out the pond and can only imagine what it's like, especially on breezy days. Ewwww. Sounds like an interesting place you found.

Everyone have a great day and week end!

This ball was a smaller sized Pilates ball, I had never used one before. I disliked it immensely and I don't like the big stability balls either! When the instructor for my Power Sculpt class says to get a stability ball out for ab work, I just want to run away. I always get sea sick when we sit on those things. Another thing that the Power Sculpt instructor has us do is stand in a circle and toss a small heavier ball to the person next to us. We pass the ball and then get down and do some push ups (sometimes two, sometimes four) and then we stand up and do jumping jacks until the ball comes to us again, rinse, lather, repeat. I try not to complain too much in the class but every time he says BALL I absolutely start whining, haha!

Pretty day wasn't it? I was going for a short walk because I didn't have time for a longer one but one of my friends ended up going with me and we went for a longer walk in Centennial Park. Not sure if I mentioned this already but they are cleaning up the "lake" and the stench over there is horrendous. They have drained it and I guess all of that duck and goose poo is just sitting there in the open. They say this project will last about two years but it should be much better when it is done.

Toni, did you find any treasures on your antiquing adventure?

Just realized today that I need to start thinking about our Easter meal....not sure what to do this year. Last year we went to Gatlinburg but I will be studying so that isn't going to happen this year.

Oh, can't remember if I mentioned this, I went to this place called Center of Symmetry the other day, it is off Elliston Place. They do massages and stuff like that, apparently they have a cafe that is completely vegan and mostly locally grown organic food - one thing they have is a "chicken" salad made of chickpeas. I haven't tried the food yet but might at some point - I went there for juice, got kale, cucumbers, apples and lime. I do have my NutriBullet but I wanted to try this, it wasn't too bad! I need to get back to making my smoothies.

Still walking, still eating. I walked 4.26 this morning and went to another (deserted) beach this afternoon and walked another mile. It's Weight Watchers tonight!!!

Toni I still can't identify you with the folks who have the same name as you. If you can't find me with my first, maiden and last names, I don't have a clue!

The weather has been great today.

Best to all!

Hello all! Lovely day today! The trees are about ready to pop! I had a lovely visit with Kelly on Tuesday. I'm still trying to track Bonny down in Facebook, but it is giving me fits again...I'm going treasure hunting this afternoon - some neat antique shops in Dickson...

Gloria, I gave up years ago trying to master that danged ball. The first time I tried it, had to wait for someone to come rescue me off it.

Oh man was it ever nice out yesterday, didn't want to come inside. Everyone have a good one today...

Hi All! Yes, the barre was sort of like Pilates standing up - but we did do some work laying down as well. One of the things that we did was lay on a little ball and hold onto a strap that was wrapped around the barre, then we stuck our legs up and did crunches. Well this girl couldn't stay on the ball to save her life! I would have considered that to be an advanced move but I didn't notice anyone else having trouble...not that I was looking since I was struggling so to stay on that ball! Ugh! For the upper arm work we did a lot of fast repetitions with very light weights, for lower body, kind of squatted holding the barre and did variations of that.

Five miles, you probably walked off a lot of food Bonny!

Love to hear what you think, Kelly. Walked another, maybe 5 miles. this morning. We're eating with friends tonight so I'm not sure I walked enough.

Still trying to get to Toni's FB address. I'm gonna send you an email, Toni, and hopefully attaching a picture.

Gloria, keep at it.

Hope all is good in BNA!

I don't know Bonny, 5 miles should offset some of the 'ritas.

I've never seen barre live, what I've seen doesn't look much like warm ups we did in ballet years ago. Reminds me of pilates standing up and I'm sure you get a great workout. It might not be for me seems like too much concentration, oh look a squirrel. Although I loved ballet as a kid and even took it for awhile as an adult back in the 70's, along with tai chi and belly dancing - now thatsa workout.

Had a great time with Toni yesterday!

Everyone have a great day...

Mmmm, dreaming of a walk on the beach. Weather was okay, I only went for a short walk since I had other exercise planned. Thought it would be too cold, and in fact, when I first got out there it was chilly but the sun was coming out and I ended up being a bit too warm. Checked out this new barre studio near my office. They were offering a free class to Caterpillar employees and I will try anything for free. Not sure that it was my thing though, don't know that I will go back. Hope everyone had a great day!

Better day today. Got in a 5 mile walk to the beach. The rest of the day was peaceful and then a neighbor came home and we spent some time with her. Shall I say we enjoyed margaritas with her. My dinner was Weight Watchers, but the drinks ruined my diet today.

Good evening team.

Hugs Gloria and a great big ol' sigh.

Man did we luck out in this part of town with the weather, that sky was awful for awhile - after I thought it was going to clear!

See you in a bit Toni.

QT, the exam is the certified management accountant exam. I am a CPA already so I really don't need this but I started it a few years ago when it was a four part exam. Now it is a two part exam and what I have already taken is set to expire on May 10th...in other words, if I don't pass one part by that time, I lose what I have already done. It is a totally different kind of accounting than what I do so it takes me a while to understand it. It is really my fault, I should have started studying last fall but I dallied and now I don't have the time that I need to study enough to pass.

Toni, I totally don't think that being a CMA is going to help me at my job; I thought it would three years ago when I started the process but the circumstances are different now. I guess the only reason I want to pass it now is to say I finished what I started and for my own self-satisfaction. I don't know of any classes or bootcamps and if I did, I can't get time off work right now...this is my busy time of year, from February to the end of April, due to a regulatory filing that I do each year. So I am working late and not able to get home and study, which is part of the problem. I was there about an hour late today, and last week I was there 2.5 hours late two days - and I have been going in early every day too. If it wasn't my busy time, I would just take a week off and study the whole time.

Hope the weather is better for you tomorrow Bonny! And Kelly and Toni, you enjoy your chai lattes - that is just about my favorite drink! I had intended to make myself one this evening but then I got too busy and forgot!

Toni, is that your name on FB? I understand your email address. I searched on Facebook and couldn't tell if it was you. There are a few TONI DIXONs but it showed no Dickson address. Mine is Bonny Cobble Briney if you want to send a request to me.

Gloria, I usually walk fairly early in the morning but the afternoons are taken up with neighborhood get-togethers. I am sorry I couldn't get out this morning. I ate too much.

It rained and stormed all morning so I didn't make it to the beach, If the weather's better tomorrow, that's where I'll be.

Best to all!

Bonnie hope you got in ahead of those awful storms yesterday. I think my legs were always the strongest when I lived near the water and sand walking.

All this talk about exams reminds me of hubs when he took his first PE exam, more than 10 years out of college. (All of a sudden the states realized they had cash cows in licenses) He did not pass it the first time, which just bummed him to no end but this exam was for all disciplines except Naval Architecture and Nuclear - which was his field. He didn't do boot camp (don't think they had stuff like that back then) but picked the brains of other engineers and got through it. Tony I like the advice you've given. And it stinks that this culture would prefer to have less experience, can't believe they actually think there is loyalty if they hire youngsters.

I'm glad you reminded me of what you had last time because I had that in mind, so will see you tomorrow.

Looks like it is trying to clear, everyone have a good one!

Oh Gloria - I DO understand. I sat for the Certified Information Systems Auditor and the Project Management Institute Professional exams - the only reason I passed them both (BY A HAIR) is because after months of self-study I went to a week-long Boot Camp two weeks before each exam. Can you get to a Boot Camp? Without a boot camp, will you have the level of confidence needed to take the exam? There is no luck involved in these exams, you are exactly right. As I got closer and closer to the exam, I found that I got myself so wound up and stressed out that I wasn't retaining anything. NOTHING. Both times hubby said - go to the boot camp or forget it. That was sage advice. I paid $2k for the boot camp, fees, air fare, hotel, etc....but I did pass both exams. Did either enhance my career? Not really. The initials were impressive on my business card, but I don't think either certification made a real difference. Once I turned 57 I couldn't find a 'real' job even with the fancy initials - I can't even get an interview! Too old! Even with stellar recommendations. I've got Kenny Rodgers in my head: "You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away and know when to run." Do what is best for you - you have my permission :)

Bonny, you have a great time down there at the beach! Hope you get some fabulous weather. I just love to walk on the beach and when we go I usually try to do a long walk in the early morning and at dusk. Sometimes we go at night too. Haven't been in a long while though.

Kelly, there was definitely a chill in the air. I got out for about an hour to walk/jog and I was okay in long sleeves but I was constantly moving and had I not been going "fast", I would have been too cold.

Toni, thank you thank you thank you for understanding! I have totally wanted to hang it up as far as this exam goes because it is a lost cause. But everyone keeps telling me to do it anyway because maybe I "will be lucky and pass." There is no luck involved in this exam, it is sheer skill and I do not have the time to gain that knowledge. Today I spent about five hours on it I would guess and I only got 58% on the practice questions - that is not going to cut it. I must get about 75% on the exam to pass and I need to be doing about 95% on the practice questions to ensure that happens. Given the amount of time I feel that I am wasting for no reason, I want to hang it up but no one else gets it except for you! So, I just keep plugging away at it. We have no food in the house to eat and all I am doing is exercising and studying. I think that tomorrow I must pick up a little around here regardless but I still need to get in about eight hours of study time. And work is just frantic right now so I have been working a lot of extra.

Well, hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday, I think that weather is supposed to be pretty good.

Lately I am really into simplifying...Gloria - maybe you should just take that exam off the table and let it go. It's only money....it's not worth your health and happiness.

Bonnie - I want your daily photos! I should go to the beach with you - that is what I like to do too...spend the day in silence at the beach, just me, my water bottle, book and chair....heaven!

Kelly - Should I call you when I am done with the doctor? I know you are close by...or should we set a time? What works for you? Is there a senior center near you? They probably have exercise classes! :)

Gloriia & Kelly, don't be too jealous. My idea of a beach trip is to sit AT the beach most all day and/or enjoy watching/listening to the waves rush in. When I go with these friends, my days aren't like that. I walk down to the beach in the morning and sit awhile enjoying the views but since they don't live AT the beach, I only enjoy pieces of it during the day. I'm not really complaining, but.....maybe I am. yuck yuck
My friends on FB hate me when I'm there. I post pretty pictures every day and they complain a lot. Be glad (if you're on FB) that I don't have you as a friend, 'cause you wouldn't like me very much, LOL

Seriously, have a great day, all!

Came to work this morning in a monsoon, yuck! I left the house at 5:20 a.m. just when it started. 30 mph ride. Thank goodness we didn't get some of that rough weather that they got out in Texas!

If the cupcake lady is as busy at her new location as she is at her old one, I am sure that there will be a ton of foot traffic over there to enhance the business of the other nearby shops. I just don't want to go to a fitness center where everyone looks like a 20 year old muscle builder! LOL!

Oh my Bonny, back to beach bonny. The last two times I've been in Florida the weather was just awful, so I'm a bit jealous too. We'll see ya when you get back. Saw something on TV last night about how Panama City Beach is handling the out of control kids and wondered does Gulf Shores experience that mayhem? Seems like it has gotten worse over the past 25 years. Of course when my Dad was stationed there in the late 50's, all the side walks were rolled up after dark it seemed.

Didn't storm nearly as loudly over night here, we really lucked out because other parts of the country really got pounded. Seems there are trees down in quite a few places and accidents galore. Wish I could find the link to an awesome video shown at the last storm spotter training by the National Weather for the 40th anniversary of that super outbreak. To see how they tracked everything literally by hand and really had to know what they were looking at because they didn't have the resolution of today was fascinating. Yes, it was sad to watch the destruction and the recovery but man it sure set up some valuable tools for the future.

Gloria, you are far from unfit!!! Right now you are exhausted from your schedule and have that exam weighing on you. I think I understand what kind of gym you're looking for. The only thing I know about LA Fitness is it's changed names so many times over the years. That cupcake lady has gluten free, they also have a food truck that was there yesterday. Didn't stop in, maybe today I will. How's that for will power? There are some neat little shops where she is going so I hope they benefit from the new foot traffic. An awesome shoe repair place, art gallery that has other unusual gifts, flower shop and for the guys a barber on the corner that gives great shaves.

Well everyone, stay dry and have a great week-end!

We definitely had the loud rumbles of weather last night, seemed like it lasted for hours. Hope that tonight and tomorrow doesn't bring anything severe though I understand that we will most likely be getting some storms. I don't doubt it given it is still 72 degrees and it is after 8:00 p.m.!

Bonny, I am feeling pretty jealous of your trips to the beach! If I could ever have a dull moment in time I would take a trip down because I definitely could use the R&R but I have been frantically busy as of late.

I am not a fan of frosting at all but the cupcakes from the cupcake collection are so good that I can deal with the frosting, which isn't anywhere near as bad as the 4" of frosting that they put on Gigi's Cupcakes. I can't remember when I last had a cupcake, seems like it might have been October and then it was probably only a bite or two of one. I only have something like that for a rare treat and I don't eat much stuff that is made from wheat flour, but I do like that indulgence every now and then!

Work has been a bit crazy lately and will stay that way for at least the month of April. I didn't get out for a walk today, kind of felt like it was too windy anyway. Left the house this morning at 5:45 a.m., didn't get home until 7:00 and no food to cook here so we went out and grabbed something, just got home and it is time for bed. But I have things that must get done so no rest for the weary, at least not yet. Camille, I just don't know how you do that, you must be running on adrenaline or something. And I can't really have caffeine either because of my reflux issues so that doesn't help.

Camille, I would like to know what you think about LA Fitness. I am going to the fitness center at work but have at times thought about finding one close to home, haven't heard much about that one. I am very picky, I don't want a meat market, I don't want one that is a "box" that is going to hurt me or kill me (i.e. CrossFit). I guess I want one geared toward an unfit middle aged woman!

Toni, I would just keep going but you could reset and start from scratch...but just go back and do the things that the book advises and go from there. It probably wouldn't hurt to reset but I think that you can still do the same stuff without doing that. My studying...eh. Well, I am really trying but work has been crazy busy and stressful and I find that my heart is not in it. I try to get some studying in each day. Exam is in one month and I am still on section two of five of the study material. I should be on section four by now. I am pretty much doomed at this point.

Everyone be alert to the weather tonight and stay safe!

Getting ready for the storms. Guess I'll just wait and see what happens. Everyone stay safe.

Leaving town early Sunday or did I already say that? Going back to the beach for a couple of weeks so I may not be faithful in logging on. I will try to log my food.

Best to everyone.

Tuesday works for me Toni, look forward to it.

That's interesting, a seated weightlifting class and I bet it'd be a workout. I need to get moving more, even Doc got after me. My crown of procrastination has some really huge thorns in it right now.

Don't know about where you all are but mother nature sure had a tantrum over head here about 1am. got some rumbling in the distance so should make for an interesting night again. Be safe everyone.

Yoo-hoo! Hello everyone!

Hey Kelly I have a doctor's appointment at Tuesday the 8th at 9:45 am - are you available for lunch or a coffee? Same place as before. Let me know.

I went to the seated weightlifting class at the Sr. Center again today - Wow, even with my butt in the chair it is a good workout. Went to both the Tues and Thursday class this week. Next week adding aerobics on Monday. I also found a yoga studio in Dickson! I'm going to check it out.

I'm still not tracking everything, but maybe at 75%. Hope to get to 100% by Friday. I'm going back to the beginning with Spark People - I may even reset my account. I read The Spark on the airplane to and from Hawaii and I realize that I skipped a bunch of the building blocks! Gloria - do you think I should reset or just keep going? (and how is the studying going?).

Yay Camille - almost time for a breather!

Everyone stay safe out there - we're due some weather tonight.

Don't know how I missed welcoming you back Toni!!! Can't wait to hear all about your visit with your daughter and how much you spoiled the little tyke, of course your trip to Maui!

Sounds like a wonderful birthday for your daughter Camille. For those of you new to the team, Camille is not only a gifted artist but can work magic with food, especially sweet treats.

Well the cupcake bus will be at Becker's daily until they open shop. My problem with all these cupcakes is there is too much frosting, but then again I won't go back for more. I had a mini bundt pan that made 6, used it all the time even as a mold for salads. Guess it's just as well I gave it away because it started a craving to make a batch.

CUL8R!

Sounds like everyone is up & moving.

Another great day, weather-wise. Thanks, Kelly, I'm keeping on keeping on! Got to the gym this morning but I didn't walk today - had more things to do after! I've been going pretty regularly and I've done fairly well, nutritiously. I'm waiting for a 'big' loss. lol

I just scanned the info on the cupcakes. I didn't trust myself to get specifics since I'm fighting the urge to eat sweets.

Best to all!

I must learn how to fit a healthy lifestyle into this artist's life. It's always a struggle to earn a living, especially because my paintings are so detailed and each takes a huge time commitment.

I'm holding my own but this weekend is my daughter's birthday and she's asked me to bake a few of her favorite desserts, inviting friends over for Dessert, Coffee and Games to celebrate her birthday. Information of the disappearance and probable murder of Tennessean, Holly Bobo, has been flooding the news outlets lately since they've arrested someone. It makes those times with my daughter so precious... I'm going to take the time to bake those desserts and have her friends over for coffee, dessert and games even though my house is STILL decorated for Christmas because my work schedule has been too demanding to think of anything but work.

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
On a happy note, my daughter asked that we spend Saturday at the zoo as a family before her friends come over so I'll at least get some good walking in. My body is screaming for exercise!!!

After my paintings are shipped to Santa Fe for my May show, I'm determined to begin that cleanse again... I did so well on it!!! And, I'm determined to get back into exercise. I am missing my mountain climb this year because I don't have time to train for it. My sleep hours are just so mixed up and pressure to meet my deadlines.

Okay, I've got 2 more weeks to finish all paintings for my show, varnish, frame, package to ship.

If any of you need to call me, my mobile is: 615-289-2264. As soon as I get all my paintings shipped out to Santa Fe for my May show, I'd love to fit in daily exercise again. Anyone a member at LA Fitness? I belong to the one on Murfreesboro Rd.

emoticon
If any of you have family or friends who live in or near Shreveport, LA... I have 7 paintings hanging in the R. W. Norton Art Museum in the "American Still Lifes" exhibition.

I think that I have seen those bundt cakes, they were really pretty but I have never had one. I think that the cupcake collection has the best cupcakes but she does run out almost every day. I tried Ivey Cakes in Brentwood, they were okay.

Supposed to be gorgeous today, really warm. I think it will be a good day for a walk!

It is my understanding that the Cupcake Lady has a bus and it will be in front of Becker's today! But don't know todays hours, will let you know if I find out. I just hope she doesn't run into all the glitches others have run into lately with opening in old buildings. The Donelson farmer's market gears up again in May but it will move to a different location, where the old Two Rivers Ford place was, which is now Ace Hardware. Phat Bites is moving to the back side of that building soon too.

Well Bonny, age is just a number and you are far from old, mentally and physically; you look pretty danged good too! I renewed my Y, promptly came down with bronchitis then headed for Florida, got my gear sitting on the dryer so guess I should dig out the schedule and head over. They even have a water zumba class.

Warmed up nicely yesterday afternoon, really was great to be able to air out the house.

Don't let the pranksters get the best of you today!

Just heard some interesting news! Cupcake Collection (my FAVE) is opening a new location where Becker's Bakery used to be on Donelson Pike. If I am going to indulge in a cupcake, it will be from the Cupcake Collection!

I'm excited to see posts from you guys. HOORAY! The weather is getting better!

Today, I decided to walk to & from my gym. It wasn't bad - I actually made it back home! That's a good thing. I had walked that far (and more) before, but I hadn't done gym exercises in the middle. Actually, I am a little 'pooped' but I guess I'll do it again.

Glad everyone is ok. Enjoy the sunshine!

I am back into civilization, it's nice to be in Podunk but it was time to come home.

I don't think I can catch up on everything, it was nice to spend time with our daughter if only Mother Nature had taken her meds and provided better weather in Florida. High winds, cold temps and wet stuff except for yesterday. Oh well, it wasn't 2 feet deep so won't complain.

Will catch up later just wanted to do a drive by!

Yoo-hoo! Hello all! I had a lovely visit with my daughter and grand-baby and just got back from my son's wedding in Maui! It was beautiful and so nice to thaw out. I am so glad it is finally warming up here in TN. It will be nice to get back into my routine. But then in late April my three sisters are showing up for a long weekend, and on May 17th it's my 45th high school reunion in Buffalo, NY. After that everything will chill out! No plans! I will read back in these posts to see how everyone is doing - I wanted to pop in and say Hey! Later....

It was like winter out there today! Rain, cold and yuck. I bought new running shoes today so we went into Nashville and did that, ate at one of the Persian Restaurants. Yum! We did do a mile walk outside and that wind was fierce.

Sorry you're having to work so hard, Gloria. The weather has been ok. Not great, but ok. Rain is threatening today and I think, tomorrow.

Guess I shouldn't rub it in, but when you get THIS old, retirement is very special. I did the gym thing but not much else yesterday. Same for today. This is day 5 tracking my food and I feel a 'treat' coming up. When I get started, I have trouble cheating, but I'm going to a play on Sunday with a couple of friends, lunch included. SO, looks like I may be bad regardless.

I'm surprised Kelly hasn't been on. Guess she's up to something! lol

Best to all the team.

Hi Bonny, I haven't disappeared, just so busy at work. I sat at my desk for the entire day, not even able to go to lunch. I am trying to be very careful on calories since I am getting no exercise. I guess it was warmer out today? I hope it is nice tomorrow. I had planned to go to my strength training class but instead I might go for a long walk since I haven't gotten outside in so long. Or is it going to rain? Oh well, I will figure it out tomorrow!

There are no pounds to declare, but I've worked out 3 days this week, so far and tracked my food intake and to this point, I've done well.

Hope everyone else is doing good!

Yep, the snow was crazy, it was like a white out at times! I couldn't believe it. Thank goodness it has been warm so that it all melted. Was up all night coughing (even with the cough medicine) and went to work late. Left early so that I could check in with the nurse practitioner. For years I had issues with asthma like symptoms because of acid reflux. Had surgery for the reflux a year and a half ago and have been fine ever since but she thinks that because of my history with that I am more susceptible to irritations in my airways. She gave me an inhaler to use and a cough suppressant. She said it is possible that it is viral but she doesn't think so - she thinks that it is most likely because of pollen or because of the extreme temperatures causing my lungs to be irritated....so most like I am not contagious. I haven't studied in a couple of days nor have I gotten to do much in the way of cardio, starting to feel a bit antsy about all of this!

I know I'm not alone in this........I'm SO over winter! I'm SO over cold weather. And SNOW???
After finishing at the gym, I made a couple of stops in the BLIZZARD. Can you believe it??
C'mon Spring, where are you?

I made it for 24 hours without eating anything I shouldn't! Whee, me. I'm still plodding along.

Best to all.

Got no sleep last night, terrible terrible incessant coughing. Haven't needed an inhaler in a couple of years and the only one that I had was expired but desperate times call for desperate measures and I ended up using it. It settled it down enough that I finally was able to get some sleep. Came to work 2.5 hours late, will be leaving early and heading to the doc.

I hope you are feeling better Gloria. I can totally understand what you are going through. I had a migraine Sunday and spent the day shut in my room with the curtains closed and a bucket by the bed. I hope it goes away, headaches are the worst.
Sounds windy out this morning, I haven't poked my head out to see. Not much going on here today Hope everyone has a great day

Just a quick drop in, hope everyone is doing well. I am still sick, terrible terrible cough and a massive headache. I haven't been able to get in my exercise because I am just not feeling up to it. It was pretty but cool, but I heard that tomorrow will be downright cold. But I also heard 70s by early next week! Hope so!
