Hi! My name is Mindy. My new husband (19 days :) ) and I are preparing for IVF. I had a tubal ligation when my daughter was born in 1997. He had a vasectomy after his third daughter was born in 1992. Since it's been so long for him, reversals would just be a waste of money. We'll have enough saved to pay for the procedure by January. We'll be going in to the clinic in September for some testing and to begin the appointments with the nurse (set up my cycle calendar, etc.) We're getting quite excited about the whole process.
I have 2 children from my previous marriage, a boy (18) and a girl (15). He has 3 children from his marriage, all girls (28, 25, 22). The two oldest have children: the middle one has two boys (2 and almost 5 months) and the oldest has a boy who will be 6 in August and a girl due last week (and still not here).
I had two major knee surgeries and after the second one, I started working out - hard. I followed that with cutting out soda and then replacing poor food choices with good ones. In 8 months, I had lost 80 pounds. And then stuff happened in my personal life and I lost my routine and my path. I've gained back THIRTY of those pounds. I have 75 to go to get to my first 'goal weight' (which may be my final one) and I am having a lot of trouble with the motivation to keep going. Or even to start.
Anyway, we are very much looking forward to the possibility of having a baby together. And I am very much looking forward to becoming a part of this great community.
Thanks for reading. :)
