Sorry I been kind of away for almost a week. I kind of had a bad week last week with my truck tune up problems but I didnt go over my diet. This week is looking good. I might only have to use my truck a few days. And I did something good for my life & job. I am trying to enroll into online colleges. I have only 2 more things to do & to wait on my money aid & AM in. WOOHOO. I know better late then never. Plus on top of all that I lost another 2 pounds.... WOOHOO....

Did You Know? Today makes 1 year since I had a cigg. Today makes 1 years since I had a beer. And today makes 1 year that I have been going to chruch. Alot can happen in 1 year. Now to see what the next YEAR will bring.
This year am eating right & better. This year am buying the right size shoes. This year I lost 9 POUNDS.... Not a bad start for a new year.

My Yesterday VENT......
A TEN hour doctor visit, that really only took 15 mns. Yesterday was my doctor check up rom when I fell & hurt my knee. My appointment was at 1:00PM. I got there about 12:30PM. So I waite. I took along my crochet bag & crocheted as I waited. At that mommet he didnt even go in to see the guy who had the 10AM appointment. 2:00PM came & went. He finally got to the 10am guy. I waited & crocheted some more. 3:00PM came & went. He was still in with the 10am guy. I waited & crocheted some more. 4:00PM came & went & he was still with the same guy. There was 4 people ahead of me. So I waited & crocheted some more. Then he finished with that guy & moved on to the next one. She took 1 1/2 hours. Then he moved on to the next one. 6:30, 7:00 & 8:00PM came & went. In between all theses hours the wanna be MMA fighter guys came & wanted to get their check ups because they are so SPECAIL . NOT. I was still waiting. By this point I ran out of YARN, had not eaten lunch or DINNER. Luckily I was now the only one in the WAITING room. I had to whole cough to myself. I had to the t.v. on, I was watching my favorite shows. I was laying down not comfy at ALL for the next 3 1/2 hours. Then came 10:45PM. I was told am next. It took another 15 mins before he got to me. I thought I would be there for the next 1 to 2 hours. But NO I was in & out in 15 MINUTES. I was happy & upset at the same time. I was happy he said my knee looked good. No call for seeing a knee doctor, just to take it easy & be more careful. I was also happy I lost 2... TWO more pounds. But yes I did,, the first & only meal I had all day was BREAKFAST at 7:30AM. My next meal wasn't until after MIDNIGHT. I was mad because when all the other ones got 2, 3 or even 4 hours of his time,,, I only got 15 MINS. Just like by that time I wasn't worth his time. I so need a new doctor & am tired

Did You Know May 29th is National Coq au Vin Day? Coq au vin or (a.k.a. chicken in wine)
Have you ever tried this? Do you have a recipe for this? How do you make yours?
I have never had this recipe. I have never even heard about this recipe before today. But I do like chicken & wine. I do know that some recipes do call of meat, poultry or fish to be soaked in wine for added flavor & to help make them tender.

Holly smokes. I never thought I would see this day again I never thought my weight would ever go down. I thought it would take forever FOREVER to lose even 1 pound. Then I hurt my knee a weeks ago. I wasn't able to really move let alone work out. I thought for sure my weight was gonna go up. But this morning when I went to a friends house to get ready for church. I went into the spare room & got on the scale. I was SHOCKED when I read what it said. I got off & got back on 4 times to read what it said. It said I dropped 7 SEVEN pounds. The only real new thing I have done was drink more water & eat less RICE. I feel so good now. WOOHOO

Hello & good luck all new comers. I hope you all like it here. I know I do. I wish you guys all the luck with your goals. To anyone who lost wieght. Thats AWESOME. SO proud of all of you. But if you gained a pound. It's ok your still AWESOME. You will do it next time. Your all awesome beautiful & spceial. WooHoo go team. But as for me.....
This week is not looking good. This is why I haven't been chatting much in my groups. My left knee is still hurting, but today there was a crunchy feeling today. Then my left arm as this numb tingly feeling. I tried to take the pain but I couldn't. I ended up going to the E.R. I wasn't there long. I got 3 x-rays each of my knee & arm. Nothing is broken. But the numb in my left arm is due to a deep bruise when I fell. I might have pulled a mussel or a ligament in my knee. It all should heal in a few days to a week. I do have an appointment to see my doctor next week. Back in the 90's I already had 2 knee surgerys on the same knee. So that's why i try to be very careful & worry about my left knee.
But on a good note. This week I have been doing sit ups or as they say "Crunches". I have always hated sit ups but I gotta do something to stay on top of this diet & this time around. I did 20 sit ups yesterday. Not bad but getting better.

Well I was having a great week. I burned all the calories they said I needed to. I only went over my daily food intake once. I stayed away from my food weakness RICE for 6 full days. Then last night I fell, twisted my left ankle & banged my left knee. It didnt hurt that bad until I got up this morning. Then I couldnt take it, so I went to the Urgent Care. They gave me good news & bad news. Good news is nothing is broken cause I can still walk. Bad news is I badly sprained my left ankle & twisted & Banged my left knee. They said I need to use ice & heat on it & let it rest for afew days to a week. They said it should heal in a week or I have to go back if it doesnt. I just starting week 2 & I cant exercise the way I did last week UGH. Looks & feels like I take 1 step forward & the world knocks me back 2 steps. Well nothing I can do but use ice & heat & let it heal. But on a side good news. They weighted me in & I lost ONE pound. Woohoo ONE pound down & 49 more to go...

Today was a good day. It's the 2nd full day on my "4 week healthy" & " 8 week diabietec loss challenge." it had been 2 days I have stayed within my daily food intake & you know what am not hungry after dinner. I thought I would be but am not. Plus I still have wiggle round if I want a bed time snack. I went shopping & picked up a few healthy stuff. Skim milk, 100% whole wheat bread, bananas, carrots & celery sticks. 5 more days to go on this 1st. week

I am! I have been ready for this for so long, so now that we're engaged, I'm goin! LOL
We may get married somewhere else. We found a beautiful gazebo in a park that's a lot cheaper. We have an appointment with the place we were originally thinking of tomorrow, so we'll see!
A tip to when you get married: Get married on a Friday! Seriously! We are shaving 150.00 off of the rental of the hall just for deciding to change it to Friday. We are footing the bill, so that is SUH-WEET! :D I think we'll decide on the place we will be getting married tomorrow and start putting deposits dowN! YAY!
A long distance relationship can work- I had been in several myself, and the reasons for breaking up had nothing to do with distance! I think the right people can and will make it work. :D You guys sound like you're very strong- that's awesome!

OMG I am so so excited! Tomorrow we have a meeting with the place we want to have the reception at and the place we want to get married at is supposed to call me tomorrow. I'm hoping to have a date by the end of the week. I'm very busy, but I LOVE it! :D

I basically get to pick my job from here. It's totally up to me...Scary but exciting!
Yay for overtime! That's alwyas a plus! And good work on getting rid of the clutter...I need to do that before I move.
We see each other about every month and a half. It's tough and we both have very busy lives so that doesn't help the whole getting together thing but we make it work. We're both very independent people so it doesn't get too bad and we both know that despite not seeing each other, we're thinking about each other .. a lot :-) We're making the best of it!

My weekend was nice too. We went to my cousin's high school graduation. It was so nice to see the family again. :)My bf got paid early and we were able to pick up my netbook yesterday! Good thing too, Best Buy was clearancing them out and only had 2 left of the one I wanted! So that worked out really good, and I'm lovin' my netbook. :)
Unfortunately, my bf got stuck being on call this week. We were going to do some stuff this weekend but now we can't. :(
Dancing sounds fun! I was mostly lazy this weekend too, but it was nice! :)

I have interviews for that job this week. I'm getting a little nervous but I'm hoping it'll go smoothly! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'm 24 and he's 36...12 years difference. We hardly even notice the age difference most of the time...it just works for us.
I'm an engineer and I'm working in purchasing right now but probably moving to a supplier quality role in the next few weeks as I pick up and move for the 4th time since graduating from college just two years ago. I love being an engineer and problem solving...have wanted to do that since I was about 2!
I was the same way...I had to get to work though...had an EARLY teleconference. Ugh. Oh well...it can only get better today, right?

What do you do for a living? I work in customer service for health insurance. I know it sounds mundane, but I really love my job. It's a challenge, there's always something new!
I so did NOT want to get up this morning. I just got out of the shower and I could crawl right back into bed. Ugh. I'll feel better in a few hours, hopefully.

Haha it's ok. No worries. Thanks to my age, everyone else always thinks he's younger. He gets carded all the time when we go out. You should see the smile on his face when that happens. I swear one of the waiters that carded us almost gave him a high five when he saw the age difference.
It's compliance training. We do a bunch of military contract work so we have to go to training once in a while to make sure we stay compliant with regs. Fun.

Yeah I would think so too and he did want to do jury duty at one point...when he was younger and didn't have anything to do. Luckily the defendent decided to plead no contest so he got to leave before lunch.

I'll be outside all day tomorrow but I think it's supposed to rain. Bummer. A day at the race track is always good though!

I hear you about being stuck indoors! I've been sick most of the week and am finally feeling better today! I think some fresh air tomorrow will do my a world of good! :D

Anyone else out there stuck in an office today while it's gorgeous outside (it is here anyway) watching the amazing weather pass you by on a Friday? Sooo anxious to get out of here for the day...

Thanks for posting! I'm sure people are starting to get outside and that's why it's slower. It'll pick back up though!

Woohoo! Go Bethie! I missed the gym last night because I fell asleep after donating blood, but I'm all lined up for tonight.
I have a presentation about worm composting for a 3rd grade class today - should be fun! The worms have actually been in the classroom for a couple weeks without the kids knowing what's in the box.
I finally got the fridge cleaned out last night, so I can make a food plan and do some "real" shopping. Also started some alfalfa sprouts this morning - I have been craving sprouts, but since the salmonella scare, they've been pretty hard to find at the grocery store.
I LOVE this idea! :D Let's see, In August I started a new full-time job which is why I wasn't here for awhile. But I got the hang of my schedule and am ready to give this another shot! I wanted to go to the gym today but instead I'm sick. I have an aquarium club meeting tomorrow so if all is well Thursday, I'll be going then. :)

Good Monday morning! Well, I didn't get the bedroom painted, but I did get caught up on the laundry & some other chores.
This week is going to be CRAZY! I have a bunch of end-of-fiscal-year stuff to do at work today, then a field trip I'm supposed to lead got bumped from 2 weeks from now to tomorrow, so I need to get ready for that. Wednesday, I have my homework catch-up day for my online classes (and I'm behind, so it will be a full day), and I'm hoping to take off early Friday so the BF & I can spend some time together - we need some "us time" to continue sorting some things out from the big blowup a couple weeks ago. Anyhow, hope everybody has a great week!
TGIF Everybody! I am really looking forward to the weekend! No special plans for me this week, but lots to do nevertheless. It's the BF's weekend with his kids, so I'll be on my own, but like I said, I have lots of errands & chores to catch up on. I'm thinking if I have some time, I might even paint my bedroom (which I've been meaning to do for a year now).

Oh my heck! I am soooo tired today. It's going to be a challenge to motivate myself and I have a ton of work to do!
The BF and I are talking again after last weekend's huge fight (pretty much the worst one we've had in our 4 years together) so things are a little better on that front. Still lots of issues to work out, but I guess just like the healthy lifestyle, it's one step at a time.
Today is the first day I'm using my exercise ball as a chair at work. It's very good with my fidgeting habit, I have to say, and so far I'm feeling a little less tired than usual.
This morning was my weigh-in day and I'm down another pound and a half, which means 5 pounds so far this month!
Another day in the office, and already things are getting a little frustrating. One of the organizations I work with regularly thinks I should respond to their e-mails & requests immediately, forgetting that they are only a tiny percentage of the area I work for - ugh! I'm thinking I will go do some hefty physical labor in a little while and work off some of the cranky vibes.
Hey everyone! I thought it would be nice to have a "chat" topic where we could just post what's going on with us.
Not a whole lot of excitement for me today, unfortunately. Work, work, work, then potluck with some friends tonight (I'm making pasta with fresh tomatoes from the farmers market & roasted garlic) and then hitting the gym for a while. The BF has physical therapy today - I'm hoping that slipping on the stairs last week won't set him back too much with his ankle. Anyhow, back to work (ugh)!
