Thanks PJ! *S*

The reunion is in East Texas near Lake Livingston. Both of my parents were from Texas.

I am getting read to make a smoothie (new recipe for a banana/peanut butter smoothie) then
will bike as I have been released to return to my biking as long as I don't overdo.

Melinda, hope you are having a GREAT week.

Hugs, Sunny

Glad sis is doing so well. She moved close to you, right? Is she settling in well?

Yes, Friday I hand the database off to the client with a fond farewell (and good-riddence). *ROFLOL* UNtil then I'm making reports for the data for payroll and labor tracking. Of course they can't be EASY...oh no, they have to create problems too. But I'll overcome them too. *S*

That's great, a family reunion! Is it in MO too or out of state? Sadly neither of my parents' family get along so makes a reunion rather solitary. *LOL* DH's parents are in Idaho, but they send photos to him of their reunions.

Have a great Wednesday. Mine will be spent on the database, of course. *S*

Way to go PJ on the database project. I bet it does feel good to have that resolved and soon off of your plate. emoticon Also, glad your basket stitch is doing well. Do tell me what the *S* mean? I have been trying to figure it out.

No, I am not finished planning and plotting our garden. DH and I need to work on it when we get home from Texas. We are going next week for my Family reunion. I went to help sis out today. She is making a lot of progress for which we are most grateful.

See you both tomorrow. Sunny

Hello everyone!

Yesterday, I overcame an obstacle on my database project. It plagued for me over 2 weeks! Quite frustrating too. But the problem is resolved and I can get this project off my plate by the week’s end. Wooo-Hooo!

Another challenge was a crochet basket weave stitch. I want to make this 12 x 12 block in it and for over a month I couldn’t get the hang of it. I was using written instructions, so another friend gave me a link to a YouTube video. What a blessing! My new basket weave stitch block is starting to look awesome. *S*

It’s a week of overcoming obstacles…

GOPINTOS: I’m thinking of building bird houses this summer. We get a lot of morning doves and swallows too. I want to try my hand at making bird seed cakes… have a recipe somewhere. *S*

SUNNY332: Hope your Monday was grand, and Tuesday is just as wonderful. How was your pita bread? Are your garden plans finished? I need to get back to my garden plans too. I do mine on an Excel spreadsheet; with colorful shapes and detailed layouts. I am way too anal for my own good. *LOL*

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Yepper, my thoughts too. Clean up not too good but so worth it!

DH and I are trying our hands at making Pita Bread today. It is still very wet outside but will head out there to get some much needed work done when it dries up.

Take care and do have a Marvelous Monday! I have been working on my garden plans for the year and I am so excited.

Hugs, Sunny

Yal towards the end, I was getting pretty tired, and thought how next year, I shouldnt move it back, but then I realized how much I enjoy them, and it is nice to know I can get to their feeders. so yes, it was worth it :)

And this year, I actually enjoyed the clean up. Well not the clean up part, but just reminding myself it was great exercise. So "two birds with one stone" haha

GOPINTOS: I bet you enjoy every minute of the clean up because of all those hours of viewing pleasure. *S* I have indoor birds and they are messy too, but I love the sound of fluttering and tweeting.

I am sure it was a lot of work but how nice to be able to see the birds and get to the feeders in the worst of the winter weather. In my opinion, it would be worth it.

Ok, I am a front yard bird watcher. In the winter time, I move my feeders over by my porch. Then in the most inclement of weather, I can still get to them. And we can see them closer to the house. Sounds perfect, right?

Well, for the most part it is. Except........ when it comes time to clean up! I estimated I fed over 500lbs of sunflower seeds this winter, which is a whole lot of empty shells!! That also means my porch railing is a mess... with messes (aka droppings). The back of the Front porch swing was covered with more droppings.

I moved my feeders back to their fair weather spot. I had to shovel and haul off 6 inch thick seed shells in some spots. I carried them bucket by bucket across the road to dump them out. (wheel barrel would not have worked) Vacuumed shells out of nook and crannies. Swept and swept again. Scrubbed railings and swing. Then washed and hosed off the porch. More sweeping.... All in all, it took me 5.5 hours to clean it all up! Whew, but it was a GREAT workout! I am just glad that I only feed them on one side of the porch!!

This is your journey. Take the wheel and drive!
