I NEED to use gluten free makeup, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body cream, hair gel and deoderent. If you notice you have dry itchy scalp, it is NOT dandruff. If your hair is falling out... Here is a good list of where to start:
WHOLE FOODS: totally cheap! 365 shampoo 365 Conditioner 365 body wash 365 body lotion
Lavera.com: all items on line are gluten free. shipping is free over $100. They have body wash shampoo (not bad) conditioner (love it) deoderent(haven't tried it, I use degree or secret) make up (I use the tinted moisturiser, and love it. also their lip gloss, and mascara (fab!!)) sun screen (30 spf) I used it on Saturday, and although I went red, there was NO tenderness, and I was brown the next day.
Lauramercier.com if you look at the FAQ page, they will list the items that ARE NOT gluten free. A little expensive, but what the hell! they can be found at Holt Renfrew in Canada, as they do not ship to canada via the website. Makeup, I use loose powder (very good, lasts all day) blush, also lasts all day, lip gloss, in champaign
for Hair gel, the best one I have found is from Morroccomethod.com shipping is what kills you, but if you order more than one, the shipping is 5.50 for the first, and .50cents for every additional. I like the fact that I have very curly hair, and it adds definition to the curls, not one big fuzzy mess!
I have tried the Kiss my face, but like I said, I dont like fuzzy. (they were essentially the same price)
It appears ok on the lists but they change all the time. Here is a recent posting with much more than just makeup. Although it is a recent post I'm not sure how up to date the information is. For instance it says: 'Lea & Perrins (all are actually g.f. not just the Worchestershire sauce)' but this is not true for Canada. You will need to paste this link together. SP breaks it up. http://www.glutenfreeforum.com/lofiversi on/index.php/t31112.html
I'm not sure about makeup, but another option you might try is asking the cosmetic specialist at your local pharmacy if they know. Or at a major department who has a large cosmetic line on hand. They might have a list tucked away somewhere they can refer to. Other than that, you'll have to wait.
I use Revlon colorstay and I was wondering if anyone knows if it gluten free or not? I emailed them and they sent one back saying it would be several days before they would get a list to me. What about face powder or lipstick?
