Dominos "gluten free" - but not safe for those who need to be gluten free was a joke, and frankly for their company embarrassing.

For all the money I'm sure they spend developing this, they could have done it better, and would have had more success.

It felt like they jumped on the "gluten free" bandwagon. without doing their research, making it only for the gluten free hipsters who see it as the latest diet fad, and not a actual medical condition.

Every passing minute is a another chance to turn it all around.

I broke down and ordered one the other day, very excited to try it. It's a 10" crust and the cashier made me aware that there was potential for contamination from gluten when I ordered it. Got it home, ate half...five minutes later was sick. So disappointed, but I guess I sort of expected it. I don't have Celiac disease (well not officially), just gluten intolerance, but I guess it was enough cross contamination to make me sick.

It is sad that they even want to go to the trouble of saying they have a gluten free crust option and then put a disclaimer out that says they don't guarantee it is gluten free...what is the purpose...either do it right or don't do it at all!!! Mildly gluten free...what a line!!!

Apparently, the NFCA is supporting Dominos, and some are not amused. You can sign a petition against their favor if you're so inclined: www.change.org/petitions/ditch-nfca-

Exactly. It isn't really GF unless they are willing to do the work to make sure that there is no cross contamination and it is clear that they don't care.

The pounds are sliding off...

Don't trust them because I don't think they know what it means to have this problem

Dorothy

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

Personally, I do not believe you need to have different pots to boil pasta. Um. pizza... I would be worried there as it is so common to reach for a handful of flour to throw on the board to avoid sticking.... I would NOT trust a pizza parlor to do this correctly. JMHO

I guess the thing that worries me the most is the complete lack of understanding and training of the help. They would probably take no pains to restrict cross contamination, even if it were possible in such a flour laden environment. I was so excited when I heard about this, but then giving it further thought, decided it probably was not such a good idea. I hate that too, because we really want companies to accommodate us when we wish to eat out.

A goal is not enough - You have to have a plan.

You have not failed until you fail to try.

If hunger is not the problem, then food is not the answser.

Domino's has a new gf crust, but can't protect you from cross-contamination. Here's Dr. Fasano on the subject: somvweb.som.umaryland.edu/absolutenm
